Sloane serving well as well. For her anyways. Though a missed first serve there at 40-15. Muguruza connected on the return. Not playing terribly. And gets it to deuce. Sloane always struggles to serve it out. And Muguruza knows that.

Got lucky and grabbed a piece of the line there. Match point #3. Pushes it long this time though. Muguruza letting her beat herself. So smart. Because Sloane is happy to oblige quite often.

Oh. That's tough. Beautiful return. Just completely flubbed that volley. But, that's partially due to the fact that she knows Sloane is fast enough to get back. Went for too much. But saves another match point. And gets the break point. Great backhand down the line. Backed into a corner she does what she needs to survive. So many of these players need that. Serena needs it often. Muguruza. Sloane.

Sloane with a rare ace. Muguruza pushes a forehand long at deuce and match point number #5. First serve into the net. But Muguruza goes for too much on the return and clips the net.

Konta may actually be in better form than Stephens and is definitely in better form than Muguruza. So Sloane will still have her work cut out for her to make her way back to the semis and final. Especially since she hasn't had great success against Konta. Has played her twice this year, their first two matches. And Konta has won both. Including a three setter in Rome 2 weeks ago.
