11:0 for Kenin in backhand winners, wow.
Barty missed an opportunity on BP when she netted a 2nd serve

Kenin's bhand has been really effective in the 2nd set

Kenin 63 2nd set and onto the 3rd set

Barty needs to employ the tactics in the first set and not give Kenin any rhythm

If Barty gets on a good start in this set and makes a break, I feel like she will win. Every set went like this so far, no turn arounds during the set.

BP for Ash ..........Kenin I feel is rushing her shots

Double break for Ash leads 4-0 final set.....a complete turnaround in this match.Kenin not able to produce the great tennis she showed in the 2nd set

Ash again finishes her game off with an Ace and leads 5-0

So. The rain possibly a factor here that I did not see coming. Keys with the quick win. Not surprising. Didn't see the match. Wasn't sure if Siniakova could push her or not. Didn't have it. First time I've heard the nickname Major Keys annnnddd... I love it.

Strong win for Barty. Didn't see it. Barty with another doubles match coming up here soon. Double duty. Dealing with it well.

Well. Swiatek no match for Halep today. Halep ready and playing great. Not surprised by the relatively unknown player. This girl just not at that level yet. I wasn't sure what we'd get from her. But Halep just too good today. She out her hungry for CARBS! Just broke to love again for 4-0. Looking ready and determined to get her first bagel of the week, after her second breadstick of the week.

Sooooo I'm curious.... They moved Anisimova/Bolsova to Simonne Mathieu. I'm glad they moved it. It was the only way they'd get to play today. But.... one of these ladies is going to the quarters. And Chatrier is available..... You see where I'm going here right? Why not give the Chatrier patrons some free tennis. And... it'd be good experience for both of these young ladies. One of who, again, is going to the quarters against Halep. It's gonna be on Chatrier. They'll have Keys/Barty on Lenglen I feel like. Probably the more competitive match. But Halep the defending champ. It's not unfair that they've never played on Chatrier. But if you can give them a little experience on it before a big match, I feel like you should do that. It's done and pointless to argue now. But am I off base here? I mean. I really didn't think Simonne Mathieu would be available. I knew it had several doubles matches. I wasn't sure. It's the new show court here. I don't blame them for using it. But I'm still a bit surprised.

As for the match that is happening between these two, Bolsova definitely not playing well enough to turn it around. Continues to let Anisimova go to the same spots with the same results. But. I just have to say that I continue to be so impressed with Anisimova. She just plays some seriously lights out tennis. And I don't think we've seen her play anyone huge other than Sabalenka. But she just does not seem to be bothered by anyone. And she can take as much confidence as anyone that Sloane won a slam right after coming back from injury and Wozniacki finally won a slam and then was diagnosed with RA and Halep has only been able to get it done at the French. And Osaka is out and she's still been able to dominate the field at such a young age when it was really starting to look like it takes years and years to get into the game for these ladies. She could seriously be a threat in the next year or so. I don't think she can take out Halep just yet. But. I can see her playing Halep much better than Swiatek did today. If she doesn't get nervous. Which, doesn't seem like something she has to worry too much about.

Well. That's all she wrote. Commentator talking about her looking like she absolutely belongs on our sports biggest stages and he could not be more right. She just looks like she is already a confident veteran.

Great tournament for Bolsova. Took advantage of the Kvitova withdrawal. Commentators have mentioned all week that she considered quitting. Wasn't sure she ever wanted to play again. Wasn't sure she could hang with the best. And this should mostly deal with that. Though she didn't beat any great players. But most importantly it'll help her ranking as I mentioned. Up into the 80s I think. That's a direct acceptance into Wimbledon I think. Or at least I hope for her sake. And that paycheck. She probably needs it.

I'm not even sure I want to see Halep fall to Anisimova. But I'd love to see her at least show up and play well. Just hope nerves don't get to her. And if she can play like she did today, Halep will deal with it better than Bolsova. But Anisimova will win some games. Probably get a break or two or more. Should be a good match.

Keys/Barty the marquee match up in the top half though. Keys looking for her second straight RG semifinal. Barty looking for her first major semifinal. Barty has had the better year. But Keys has showed up at a major ready to go again. Clearly likes the clay. Her game translates well to it. When she's not spraying errors. Both could challenge Halep. But Halep definitely still the favorite to come through to her 3rd straight RG final and 4th of the last 6 years. A lot of tennis to be played on both sides though.

Ready for tomorrow! Let's go Stephens!!!! Needs that first win over Konta. Obviously a huge opportunity for Vondrousova and Martic. And for Konta too. She's been to a semi. But. It's been a while. She could use the points. And the confidence heading into Wimbledon. And she can totally pull of that upset. As good as Martic has looked I'll be very impressed if Vondrousova can find yet another upset. Martic is certainly beatable. Vondrousova, with two wins over Halep this year, would love to show that she's ready to play with these top players and get to her first semi. But also get an even higher seed at Wimbledon than she'll already get. And get that bigger paycheck! It is legitimately possible that any of the 4 women come out of this half of the draw to the final. And once there, no matter the opponent, you've at least got a chance to win your first (or second for Sloane) slam.

Just read a comment from Guy Forget....Tournament Director.

'Possibility of both finals being moved back a day if Friday's weather wreak havoc.'
