As you said in a later post, you did underestimate her. But I was at this match, and there was nothing that said Sevastova was disinterested. You don't like to hear it, but Sharapova is a pretty damned good tennis player, and Sevastova gives up several inches to her in height advantage. But she was gritty and clever. She won a lot of the battles at the net, and deftly dropped on Maria and passed her. She won with patience, too. I hadn't really paid much attention to her, but I'm very admiring now.
