The match between Dan Evans and Khachanov (23) is now just over the 5 hour 27 mins mark
4 all in the 5th set
Edberg and Chang went 5 hrs and 26 mins in the 1992 USO SF , its been the longest match in tournament history ever since!
Dan Evans comes back from being down 0-4 in the 5th set and does save 'Tennis" and wins the match 64 in the 5th set!
This match is officially the longest in the tournament of the USO
Dan Evans d Khachanov 67(8) 76(2) 76(4) 46 64

Now Chucky can style a sleeveless shirt. Please donate some lessons to Zed the Beanstalk!

Wow, what a see saw affair here on Stadum Court! Carlos shouldn't be struggling w/ this guy, but he's wearing hmself out as usual, performing with so much drama! I can't stand grand-standing and showing up an opponent! He isn't going to last acting like this IMO! :angry-face::astonished-face::yawningface::face-with-symbols-on-mouth:

Well Steve Tignor are not on the same page in our picks today
My Upset Match Alert is Berrettiniv v Fritz I feel this is a danger match for Fritz, even though he leads their H2H 3-0, against Matteo, Matteo has finally found form, different player since they last met, in the Sydney Cup in 2023,.The 2 Boss sponsored men going head to head, though we all know which player wears it best, Matteo hands down :)

Rublev has already tried to destroy his racquet , a heavy throw in the ground, but it dosent seem broken, he lost the 1st set 64 to Rinderknech

Looks as if The USO organizers are pulling a FO putting Novak on the court at night in consecutive matches! It's a little earlier at least! He might appreciate staying out of the heat! I hope it cools off! It was brutally hot here in Chicago Monday! It was like stepping into an oven when I walked outside! Jiří Lehečka survived in 5 sets coming all the way back from 0-2 & 0-3 in the 5th! Great effort! :fearful-face::yawningface::face-with-hand-over-mouth::astonished-face::anxious-face-with-sweat:

Rinderknech leading Rublev (6) 2 sets to love 64 75
Rublev wins the 3rd set 61
Rinderknech leads 2 sets to 1
2 sets all now, as Rublev won the 4th set 62
Going 5, it is very hot I suggest all players shorten the points when they can, getting caught in long rallies is not ideal in these conditions!
In a match that went for 4 hours Rublev wins in 5 sets over Rinderknech 46 57 61 62 62

Come on….Novak is lucky to have the late slot today, when it’s hot and humid. Which he hates. At least you note that in passing. I actually thought he might have asked for it, given the forecast.

Apparently they are not closing the roof for heat, only for rain. This is the weather in NY for late summer. When I went it was absolutely smokin.
