The two famous Frenhies got upset today, one of them by an infamous Frenchie. Other than that it was smooth sailing for the seeds.

For the Manic Monday, I am projecting three upsets listed below (the confidence in my prediction specified in parenthesis)

1. Sasha to defeats Raonic (60%)
2. Berdych defeats Thiem (50%)
3. Muller defeats Rafa (40%).

These are my predictions and estimates and not those of bookies. I have not looked into the bookies predictions of individual matches scheduled for Manic Monday. Needless to say that in the other five matches, I expect the favorites to win.

The bookies are giving Rafa 87.5% chance compared to my 60%.
The bookies give Raonic 55% chance compared to my 40%
Finally, Thiem/Berdych match is listed as 50/50 proposition (exactly same as mine).

He defeated Rafa in 2005 ..I know a win is a Win but Rafa was just a pup. He was about 18

Nadal is completely out of the curve. He, at 18, was more mature than 99,54% of all players in history, strategically and emotionally wise. You could argue that by this time he still wasn´t adapted to grass, which I would be ok with, even if just one year after he was making the finals...

Muller is a tough customer for Nadal, that´s undeniable. So completely blind faith that he will cruise in that match is just that, blind faith. However, if he confirms his current place and seals the win, it will surely be a good confidence boosting and point proving win -- and, conversely, it would be blind faith to deny it.

good point you made

When a person is trolling they don't understand there is a difference between the words "will" and "have a shot"

Well dear Roger's fans, your wishes made me to feel more and more confident about Nadal. He is showing his incredible improvement comparing to the last five years like his serve, BH, FH, volleys and more important than anything else his health. I remember when some years ego he said that he loves to play on grass as much as on clay, well, I don't have any doubts about it, he can do it and I hope seriously he can get his 3 title and 16 GS

Carol have you seen any Wimbledon official saying the balls are heavier, any current player saying the balls are heavier, No..not a Rafa's No.

Nope even that I usually like to read different sources in English and Spanish.

Dustin Brown did. And Mac said it too after hitting balls from this year and last year during the same practice session. Have you seen any player or Wimbledon official say they haven't been using a heavier ball? Something more than weather should explain why everyone sees that it is playing way slower than ever before.
