Nope even that I usually like to read different sources in English and Spanish.
Dustin Brown did. And Mac said it too after hitting balls from this year and last year during the same practice session. Have you seen any player or Wimbledon official say they haven't been using a heavier ball? Something more than weather should explain why everyone sees that it is playing way slower than ever before.
what exactly did Dustin brown say

He said that the balls are definitely heavier and slower and that conditions are slower than RG.

That's not the way i read it..why don't you post his exact words

I had the feeling that sometimes playing at the French Open might even be a little faster, just from the balls and the courts. It's a little sad because, personally, I think a lot of guys that are attacking and play serve-and-volley, like Feliciano Lopez or Gilles Muller, are all playing a lot less serve-and-volley.

I think that's because everything is playing pretty slow.

Where does he say the balls are heavier?

You're right but that's kind of implied by saying the balls are slower. Mac flat out said the balls are heavier and slower.

His words: "I feel like the balls are a lot slower." In that link is also the quote about RG. But he doesn't say "definitely" and he doesn't say "heavier." Also, @Carol : in fairness, Brown was interviewed before he played Murray, so it wasn't sour grapes.
Just to mix things up, though, Djokovic was interviewed yesterday after his match and he talked about how hard the transition was from the slowest surface in tennis to the fastest. So that's another active athlete's opinion.

Mac muscles are about as old as can be..a ping pong ball might be heavy to him..my point is ..Not one pro has said they lost a match because of the courts or the heavier balls has caused shoulder problems or injuries.

It was a side-by-side comparison though. I don't think Mac would just make it up.

Dustin said it in an interview right after his first round match. It's post #619 of Wimbledon Men's thread. All of the slowness stuff was discussed there ad-nauseum. You should go back and read over it. Starting w/ about page 27 or 28

Not you too KS..I always look at you as the voice of rational thinking from the extreme right(Federer side), most likely more nauseum than ad..

I just watched it..the interviewer really baited Brown into that portion of of the discussion.. regardless he didn't say that it lessens or heightened others chances to be victorious..

I don't have a horse in this race. You know that. I'm just reporting the facts. The facts were all outlined in my post from what Dreddy and Mac said. People will take whatever and use it to their advantage to support their point of view..

I think the side-by-side comparison is compelling. I wish we could find video of Mac's assessment, rather than keep interpreting it.

Interpreting what? He said they hit with balls from last year and balls from this year during the same practice session and noted the ones this year are slower and heavier.

Agreed. I'd just like to hear exactly what he said about them. Wording does matter. You say he said "slower" and "heavier". Maybe that's not exactly what he said. You misquoted Brown. If we're going to debate it, it's worth knowing exactly what he thinks about the difference.

Top ten reasons why Muller will defeat Rafa.

1. Powerful Serve.
2. Rafa's recent history at Wimbledon since 2012.
3. Muller is having a banner year winning titles for the first time in his life.
4. See #1.
5. Muller is a veteran and so won't have nerves when closing out.
6. Muller has prior experience of actually beating Rafa.
7. Muller has powerful ground strokes too.
8. See #4.
9. Muller has two handed backhanded.
10. Muller is a leftie.

Time to Gloat! Good call GSM.:dance1::yahoo:
