I will argue with you on this. Grigor is not having in general a good winning strategy, he is getting engaged in relentless exchanges and with a defensive position, way behind the baseline, and usually comes out on the losing end, because he does not trust his abilities and goes for too much.
His BH is very inconsistent. Not reliable, like today and it was well exposed by Kei.
Definitely not in the Wawrinka, or Gasquet BH class. His serve is also on and off. When it is off, his second serve is a liability.
I think his game overall should be good for a 11-20 ranked position, if his mental aspect would be straightened out, but without addressing some of the technical and tactical minuses, I think he will end up way short of expectations.
