I only like the last male singer to be honest as I don't really like rap so the other 2 male singers aren't singing properly in my opinion. Everyone has different opinions though.
OK, it turns out our opinions converge in this case. My (originally withheld) critique of the 2 males (B & T) is that they do not sound "in harmony" with the rest of the group because their voices are too different. Also they do not blend with the flow of the piece, making me cringe a bit as they enter. IMO, this piece should not have sudden changes in between parts but the parts should flow from one to another seamlessly. I think the flow would be better if said 2 males swapped: T (Nick) singing first (my house) followed by B (Luke - my band).

I agree. I think that if they had 1 of the males in between the females & the other between the last female & the last male singer it would have sounded better as there would have been an alternation between singing & rap which would have made things flow better. (There is absolutely nothing wrong with your original criticism. People are allowed to disagree & you haven't voiced your criticism in a way that could offend others, patronise them or criticise them for their tastes.)

Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. Another record that dates back to the 1940s (I think first was by Old Blue eyes Frank Sinatra). But i only play the Rick Nelson, Elvis and Brook Benton versions.

Thank you very much for the information, Vince. I just read your post & thought "The name rings a bell. I'm sure I know that 1. Gosh! I haven't heard that 1 for ages." then I started trying to summon up the tune & song-words.

Vince, I think that's a good idea. How about "Entertainment from the archives"? then if we wanted to share something from before the 1940's we could. That would be great.

oh yeah Arsenic and Old Lace, Postman always rings twice are two others that comes to mind. Films from that era always great to watch, unlike today's stuff that tends to follow the same old, same old patterns of sex, violence, haevy swearing etc, all of which in excessive.

I wrote it in music from the archives but added a lot of songs I used so it was a bit of talk with a lot of music in.

Jane Eyre, Great Expectations & Oliver Twist are my favourite films from that era.
