Love these guys... killer combo. Paul Simon, epic songwriter. Art has an amazing voice. At least he did in his prime.

Anyone remembers The 5th Dimension?
Of course their flagship number from the end of Hair is known universally, and is probably responsible for most tears ever shed in entertainment industry history. Yet I stumbled onto this video showing the band itself (that I haven't seen before) and it's a nice choreographic perspective: how they did it in 1960s (costumes & scene & simple video), and they had good imagination back then.
No I'm posting it on the occasion that my choir got an acapella SATB arrangement of it from our local choirmaster Stuart Davis. Sounds very interesting, esp B voice (which I mostly sing) with a beautiful suspend effect. First thing I of course did I compared it to the best original. To be honest, Stuart's version sounds better, richer than the original above. Too bad that I cannot share it because of copyright issues. Notes are not understood by everyone. Regardless, we ultimately need a good performance (computer generated music from the score file sounds terrible).I've heard it once or twice.
Did you post this for me knowing that I was born on both Abraham Lincoln & Charles Darwin's birthday just a different year which means I'm an Aquarian as I'm born between 21/1 & 20/2? Not that I believe in astrology. That's very good. Thank you very much for sharing.
That's great. I hope you enjoy yourself. No I'm posting it on the occasion that my choir got an acapella SATB arrangement of it from our local choirmaster Stuart Davis. I'm glad you enjoyed. I like some of Bob Dylan's songs. "Blowing in the wind" & "The times they are a-changing" are my favourites though I like "Mr. Tambourine man" & "Knocking on heavens door" too. I'm normally more for John Lennon but love Paul McCartney & Wings "Mull of Kintyre". In fact "Mull of Kintyre" is my favourite song sung by any of the Beatles. As I was in a playful mood today I just had to add a few more Wings songs though in order to tie them to the Byrds though. I like some of the Byrds songs. (I'd never heard that 1 about the horse before but just had to listen to it & share. I love it.)Dylan, McCartney, the Byrds — @Horsa hitting a few of my favorites today.
If you have not heard of Dimash, here is one song, SOS. I am a metal head , this guy makes me cry

This guy's range is amazing but how he uses that range, his technique is just beyond this world. If you get into the Dimash youtube black hole, read about his background, you understand why but still, this is pure magic !I haven't heard a singer who can perform from mid range Bass till upper Sop so effortlessly, with voice so clean throughout all octaves. And the way he engages emotionally and thanks everybody after the performance. Beautiful.
