Yep. Tomic gone. Querrey gone. Tomic didn't surprise me too much but Querrey was a bit of a surprise. Federer's path has opened a bit but I do want him to advance and take a shot at Nadal again. So one more seeded player is out on Day 2. 10 to 12 at least I take it so far on the men's side.

I know that John Tomic is in town, though not sure if he was in the box. I feel for Bernie. He comes off as unlikable, but I'm sure that's because of his dad, at least partly. I never liked Bartoli, until recently, and I realized it was because her father was so unappealing, and made her tight and hard to like. And just when she got shed of him, she hung up her racquets. I hope Bernie can get to a more mature place. Maybe by the AO, with crowd support, and make it about his tennis, then, and not the circus.

Andy's very good that way. Always trying to help out his friends anyway he can. A person who provides services to others no matter in what shape or form is a great human being. And Andy is all that.

Earlier today, Darren Cahill said he's banned from the USTA grounds, but Cahill saw him in town.

At least Murray isn't given the night match slot again - it would have been a worse call, particularly with the unpredictable weather.

at any rate his path looks good at the moment. Leonardo mayer is little more solid off the ground than , say, somebody like llodra.

Hewitt can volley. he has great technique at the net.

I was just reading about dan evans. he has a good chance against robredo.

evans is just 23. his star shines brightly. perhaps andy murray has inspired him a little too.
