Morning Nekro, CD, Nikki and the others.

Ready for Day 3 Day 4 of the US Open? What matches do you guys plan to watch?

Work paid off for me, as I have managed to reconstitute the 1973 official rankings with their exact points and correct all the errors ATP made back then. The first of the years is done, I am confident I can do the same for the next years and solve the Vilas Mystery.:D

Morning!

Off to another doctor visit. Hopefully I don't have to spend my Friday night at home.

that 3rd match still worries me mate:

it usually rains late in the afternoon in new york.

You might be a redneck if you believe that it tends to rain late in the afternoon in NY.

We are not a tropical climate. There is no predictable pattern to our rain. You'd probably do just as well predicting who's going to win matches and tournaments. You're probably only 50-50 with that too, right?

Finally some good antibiotics to take. :) I won't stay at home tonight anyway, maybe just a little change of plans. Like that I will finally get the chance to catch a few more matches.

Morning Castle.

Federer and Nadal untouchable yesterday. It looks like we're getting set for another battle between the two at this US Open.:D

good to see you nikki. hope you feel better fast.

now I am having some allergy issues. I am out all day which means more exposure to the pollens in the area.

I am taking over the counter allergy stuff like Claritin but it is not helping.

that is going to be one hell of a match.

nadal won easily last night but he still has more work to do.

roger can make life difficult for him as we saw in cinci if he serves huge.

still I would have to take the clay warrior in 4 sets in that match.

but you are right. he does not need anymore late night matches unless he can go on first at exactly 7 pm.

at any rate his path looks good at the moment. Leonardo mayer is little more solid off the ground than , say, somebody like llodra.

murray can get in a decent test if we can call it that.

This being the 3rd match doesn't concern me at all. Not sure about putting him on Louis Armstrong Stadium however, especially given that none of the top players have yet to play in this stadium so why should the defending champion be pushed to that? In any case, Andy's main focus should be to defend the title, so he should just bite the bullets and continue on his mission.

The crowd have been a bit topsy turvy as well. They cheered more for Monfils while didn't mind cheering on Isner's double faults. And they did not bother to applaud Mannarino's big win over Querrey after the match. The guy had only his team to support him after the win. I expect the crowd to be bit more reasonable than that. It may be only an entertaining factor for them but these players are working their butts off to get a decent win.
