The Czechs missed their chances to beat No1e who forgot to play tennis during the break. No1e will hopefully recollect his knowledge before the semifinal against Monfils who won't miss the chance if he has it ... or he will too.
Jesus, is it always about borders with you? Novak didn't play 'the Czechs,' he played Berdych. And the one who forgot how to play tennis during the first set TB was Tomas. Novak was pretty much crap, but he managed to get through because he's bored a hole in Berdy's head.

He played Stepanek before Berdych, therefore the Czechs like I said, and in both matches he could have lost a set and then another. Funny that i had to explain this to you.

Sorry that I wasn't taking his opponents for their national associations. I get your point now. Still, a funny way to look at it.

That is unkind and uncalled for. It's really you that put your factionalism to the fore, with the endless chip on the shoulder.

Well, not Stanimal. Kei stole the first set after Stan was playing very well and up break, then Wawrinka imploded in the 2nd. He was clearly tanking at the end, and even the polite Canadians booed him.

Boy, exactly. He played great yesterday, and for most of the first set. He went away fast today. I hope Gael maintains his sharp focus today, as this could be a really entertaining match.

Monfils is going to have to start attacking these soft second serves. Oops, as Novak DFs for the break. Definitely hasn't got his serve rhythm working. Or he's suffering something.

Beautiful sunset in Toronto, and the sunset on Gael's Roger's Cup, it seems. He's looking tired and lacking in belief. OK, more ideas this game, but likely too little, too late. He refused to tee-up on Novak's serving softballs, and he's paid the price. I don't see how he thought getting into rallies with a weak-serving Novak was going to pay off.
