He trains too much, just like he plays too much.
I do think he plays too much, but I don't think training hard is going to hurt him in the long run. He'll learn to better manage his time and energy. Schwartzman with the break, btw, and will serve for it. Some match!

Thiem duffs a complete sitter. He's made some head scratching errors in this match.

And Schwartzman gets Thiem. Well-done on him.

It's a repeat of last week. Domi can't close. Served for the match, got broken. Had 3 more MP's on the opponent serve and stuffed them all.

When he trains too much during a tournament, he will not be fresh enough when he will need to be. That is what he did today.

Them was even more exhausted than Diego, that is why he had those big misses in the last games.

Thiem is ovaarated in the words of a certain Donald. I like him but people simply overstate his talent. I'd be very surprised if he wins more than 1 slam and if he wins one it will be during a transitional period.

Where are they showing the tennis match? Is it on ESPN or only tennis Channel?

I don't know that they overstate his talent. I just think he has to learn to dial it back and stop playing every damned week. Learn from what the Big 4 are doing and schedule himself smarter so that he peaks for the bigger tournaments. Stop jacking around playing 250 events. Yes, he's 23\24, but he's played a ton the last 3 years to get into the Top 10. When a big Masters event comes around - he's overplayed and less effective. By skipping the 250 events he could spend time working on his hard court game and tactics - and maybe learn to shorten his swing and not take huge swings on EVERY stroke. I get tired just watching him wide up for a backhand.
