Does anyone know when was the last time (if at all) Wimbledon finals was played between Halle Winner and Queens Winner?

I thought about that the other day too. It was 2008 with Nadal winning Queen's and Federer winning Halle.

2008, Nadal v Federer...

OK. More homework. Was that the only occurrence or is it fairly common?

Not that common. Roddick (Queen's) and Federer (Halle) did it in 2004 and 2005 though. Halle started in 1993 so those are the only three times it has happened I think.

So, we may be due for another one. Halle winner has a 2-1 H2H against Queens winner. Let us go Halle Winner.

I think if they were to meet this year, the Queens champion should win it handy enough...

Murray wins his first round match with a bit of difficulty against No. 59 Mikhail Kukushkin. Murray next plays No. 78 Robin Haase in the second round. Murray leads the H2H 3-1. Haase won their first match back in 2008. Murray has won the last three, including a four set win over Haase at last year's U.S. Open.

Muzza advances to his eigth straight Wimbledon quarterfinal. He'll take on the unseeded Vasek Pospisil!

Proof that one of the best returners is usually better than one of the best servers. Defeated Dr. Evil in straight sets! Federer is up ahead...

Correction: Straight sets was my wishful thinking. Make that four sets! :cover

Please see the matches or at least check the scores before commenting. :snicker

Already, a press reported asked whether Berdych feels good going into QF. Then, in tennis.com they wrote that Azrenka and Maria will probably meet in QF. Now, you are saying Andy beat Evil in straight sets. :cover

Doh! This is what happens when I'm multitasking. Now you see why my full time profession does not cover sports reports. :p Just forget this ever happened.. . Thanks GSAM

Despite dropping a set, I think ol'Muzza is playing very fine grass tennis. I expect to see him in the final.

Roger's looking better than Murray. That figures to be a war as long as Simon doesn't make Roger play a long match.

I agree. It's getting to the point where I will be surprised if Murray beats Federer. How about an all-Swiss Grand Slam final?

Still rooting for Murray to lift the gold trophy though. Of course!

I'm all for an all-Swiss final. I'd also be intrigued by a Federer-Anderson final :)
