Despite the lack of a Slam, 2015 was a great year for Andy Murray. And now he finally finishes a year ranked No. 2! :clap

Now go win that Davis Cup!

It is pathetic that he cannot even win a second RR match and seal the #2 spot by himself. He needed Novak to do the job for him.

Don't be so sore about it. It's obvious the WTF this year wasn't a priority for Murray this year. He was practicing on clay with the DC in mind right up until the tournament. That result, while disappointing, shouldn't surprise anyone.

All the more impressive given that he was ranked no.12 in September last year. Well done Andy! :clap

What David Lloyd said is plain stupid, for the reasons laid out in the article. He was the Jamie Murray of his day, in the sense that he had brother who was far better than him. David Lloyd was always mouthy and opinionated. Nothing wrong with that, unless your opinions are idiotic...

Tie Break Tens

Andy is involved in an event called Tie Break Tens. It's being played at Royal Albert Hall and the matches are 10-point tie breaks only. Tim Henman, David Ferrer and Kyle Edmund are scheduled to play. I think there will be two or three more players. They play a round robin and then a semifinals and finals.

Andy is not playing in IPTL. He needs timepass too.

A bit odd that he's playing next year. This is the moment he should begin to focus on himself and go and win some slams.

Very pleased with today anyway.

He is just playing the opening round to keep UK in international group. I am sure he will drop out after that. Remember, just a few years ago they were relegated to some third tier groups.

I am not sure whether we want to go that far. I know the competition in 1930's is not the same as current one. But, still Fred had won Career Grand Slam (one of only seven players to do so) and has won a total of 8 GSs (not to mention 4 DCs). Even if you cut it down by half due to "weak competition", Andy should win at least two more GSs just to be sitting in the same table.
