We have only GS champs left in the draw. Moreover all have won RG except Kvitova.

The first SF is easy to predict. No way, Kvitova can win against Serena, especially not on clay.

The second one is more interesting.

Kuzentsova has not made some noise for a long time. Hope she can make some against the noise maker.

ok ok - I half groaned, half snorted :snicker

I actually think Serena vs Petra will be a closer match. I can't imagine Kuznetsova winning a set against Pova.

Maria is the only one among the GS Champions who won Madrid and the FO.
Wrong. Serena did a clean sweep of Madrid, Rome and RG in 2013 (defeating Maria twice in finals during the process).

That's another long 3-setter. She won't have anything left for Sharapova tomorrow.
Boy was I wrong. Just tuned in and Maria is in all kinds of trouble. Down 6-2 and a break (3-2) in the 2nd. Sveta looking fresh as a daisy.

Kuznetsova prevails over Pova. I predicted the opposite, thinking she would show up tired from the match against Safarova.

I thought the same. I'm pleasantly surprised Sveta is through, and in straight sets.

Is this the best she's played since she won RG in '09? Could be ...

Kvitova is really taking it to Serena. Serena better regroup quickly. Although not going into slam season with a streak might be the easiest thing on Serena to take away pressure.

Serena out there getting bossed! :laydownlaughing

And she said she wanted this matchup. Better be ready to bring it if you're going to say stuff like that. :cover

4-1. This should be overly quickly unless Petra goes on a serious walkabout

You can't worry about that stuff. Coaches and other players can give their charges tips all the day long, the player still has to go out there and execute it.

Well right about now, Serena can only hope that Kvitova goes on a walkabout right now.

Not happening. :nono
