I am glad Serena lost in a way. She has been getting by playing average tennis thus far at this point with flashes of brilliance here and there. It is time to up the ante a bit before we get into the next two slams.

I would be the first to jump on a nadal stinks bandwagon, but a moan and screech are two different things. Nadal's inability to serve in a timely manner is a more on par comparison in terms of annoyance for spectator and opponent.

That's completely subjective. I'm not really THAT annoyed by either sound. Once you've listened for a few minutes it kind of disappears. Either way I think if you asked either person to stop making the sound it would disrupt their game. It's a moot point and complaining about it is silly. Complain about their shots or, like you said, waiting too long to serve.

But there's a significant volume difference. As annoying Vika is too, Masha sounds like she is being attacked every time she hits a shot. Not all sounds are the same level of intrusion both tonally and in decibels.

Well, there's an easy explanation. I don't respect Sharapova that much. Her shrieking levels have made her matches unwatchable. I'm not going to beat this dead horse. I'll probably mention often that I think Sharapova's shriek is chaeting so you can skip over my posts if you like. :snicker

*shrug* - To have a subjective and personal opinion about Masha - her shrieking and whatnot is one thing and your prerogative - No one forces you to watch her matches - The name calling is however unacceptable and completely uncalled for - There is no reason what so ever to post insulting comments about any WTA player - Didn't your parents teach you common decency?

Oh get off your high-falutin'-horse. I have no desire to have tea and crumpets with you. I'll call 'em like I see 'em. Sharapova's screaming/shrieks are way over the line and she won't be missed when she is finally gone from the tour. If you're gonna root for a low-caliber player like Shriekapova, then be prepared to take the complaints as well. Didn't your parents teach how to be a bit tougher? Why don't you just jump right over my posts? That'll be just fine and dandy with me.

Don't try to make this about the shrieking - You may dislike or hate her shrieking as much as you want - criticize it as much as you want - It's the name calling I'm addressing - Surely you don't behave like that in the real world so why do you behave like that only because you're anonymous? - It's pretty immature - But hey if you wanna continue to act like a low-caliber person no one can stop you

I've never liked Petra, but I've always liked Sveta, and it's great to see her playing so well.

To be fair, he was name calling (attempting wit) a millionaire athlete not present on the forum. You actually called Krijax a low-calaber person. Much harsher than making a teasing play on words incorporating shreak into sharapova.

We've gone over this a thousand times with you, MashaFan, and the answer has always been the same, and always will be the same:

a) You don't dictate policy.

b) Users are allowed to make comments, positive and negative, about the players. Period. Full stop. End of story. Etc.

Do not make even one more critical remark against someone for making a negative comment about a player. If you do, I'll delete it.
