Serena up 4-1 on Peng. She has a large strapping on her left thigh. Hopefully it's preventative and not anything serious.

Serena isn't playing the clay court tennis she played last season, using topspin depth of shot to open up the court. She's playing more first - strike tennis, and I don't know if the strategy is to limit her time on the court because of fatigue from the last two season, or just confidence that she doesn't need to play that type of tennis.

I just tuned in to see Caro sitting on a towel getting her knee wrapped.
Behind 1-4 in the first set.

I noticed that as well Calvy. She appears to be playing first strike tennis, however when she is on the defense she does seem to use some clay court strategies. I saw a picture of her for today's match and she is heavily taped on her upper thigh. She also appeared to have taping on her abdominal area. Hopefully it is for precaution and not for an actual injury.

Yep she should've retired instead - a pity to see her non play the rest of the match (sorry Caro). If she's on her normal level she'd have no issues winning over Vinci - who grabbed her chance today so a congrats to her - a win is a win and she needed that.

Anyone taking over from me - bringing the schedule and so - I'm a bit hung up these days, and now Caro is out the rest of interest has gone. :nono Sorry.

No Problem, I'll do that, but you have to promise to start the Rome thread. ;)

Anyone want to start a poll on Rome?

Other than Caro who lost, there was this other Caroline who won! Garcia is her last name, she came up the qualifying...
Aggie playing her match against Kuzy. Ahead 5-2 in the first.
