His first two beat him. But they were loads better. DF to give up the break. Why do players insist on dropshotting Nadal.... it works, like 1% of the time.
I must have missed those. 66.6% success rate by Mr Sock had totally messed up my global stats. His first two beat him. But they were loads better. DF to give up the break.
It's the only place he's been to the finals 3-4 times and never won it, so it is a bit of a fluke, but don't you have to say IW is better, since he's won it 3 times?Nadal will be well rested for the finals after getting through the cream puff draw. Him not winning here is a bit of a fluke because this is easily the best hard court on tour for his game.
How come everyone is so sure they know what surfaces and conditions are like for players at any host of tournaments they've never been to? (Though even I was surprised by Cincy.)No, I stand by what I said, this is a better court for him. He has won Cincy too and clearly his game is wat worse on a fast HC with low bounce than it is here. He's had a little bad luck with his opponents in the finals at Miami compared to IW.
It does seem high-bouncing. But on TV they say it's fast...and they're there and they're tennis players. Point being, I don't see how you can decide which hard court is best for Nadal's game, in spite of what he's won. And I don't know why we discuss the relative speed of certain courts every year.If our eyes aren't enough its been mentioned before that Miami is very slow and high bouncing.
