I'll likely be gone by then as I have day session only, but enjoy Nadal tonight. What do you do in Miami, Carol?

Shame Fognini isn't more consistent 'cos his shot making is unreal when he's playing well. He can hit winners from anywhere like a certain Swiss dude.

With Nishikori out, Rafa and Fed both stand to re-enter the top 5 if Nadal beats Sock tonight.

Fed needs to match Nadal's result in order to gain the #4 spot.

I think you guys are being a bit unrealistic. He IS 35 years old. He's not going to have it everyday. Just a fact.

Imo Fognini is more exciting to watch than Nishikori also.

Rafa could theoretically win this tournament without facing a top 10 opponent, or any player who was ever in the top 10.

Sela
Kohlschreiber
Mahut
Sock
Fognini

Fognini just demolished Nishikori. Wow. I love when he is having a good run, he is such a talent. A wasted one, like a few others, but he has insanse feel on his shots, and he can bash the ball as well. When he beat Nadal at USO'15, I wasn't too happy with him, but he was hitting some Federer-esque half volleys, taking the ball so early, even with his WTA serve, he could have achieved much more. He is crazy, but you can't hate on him. Great guy.

..or it can be as exciting as watching turtles copulate, depending on if he wants to play or tank ;)

LOL, so true unfortunately!

Nishikori had a leg injury but, still, he wasn't getting to most of the shots Fognini hit anyway so it barely mattered.

Didn't see a Fog win over Kei coming...

And definitely didn't see it being a beatdown for Fog. Did anyone catch it? I'm thinking this is Fog's first semi at an MS event but not sure if he made one on clay before. It will be interesting if he continues to show up...

The Fog played better, more aggressive tennis, particularly with the forehand. He also served when he needed to on the big points. Most importantly, any mental lapses he had were short-lived as in three or four points, rather than entire games. Finally, little man from Japan appeared to be a bit injured.

I watched on TV, and I'd concur. Seems to be Kei's wrist. He hasn't really been healthy all year, I don't think. He's had trouble on his serve all tournament, and today he was also a UFE machine.
