Well, Rafa Nadal has 2 Wimbledon titles, one having beaten the ‘goat’ of grass and he has only one less than Novak besides to make some finals. So definitely I think he is good on grass, the only thing he needs is a good serve

The grass slows down considerably in the 2nd week of Wimbledon. And it is much slower to begin with, which has helped Rafa and hurt Roger.

For any reasonable discussion to occur, we have to accept some basic facts. One of the facts is that Nadal is clay GOAT and Federer is the overall GOAT. Most Nadal fans don't even want to accept that so there's no point of debating.

I think it'll be great if you actually consider our POV without judging and pointing fingers why we dislike Nadal if not outright despise him. But most of the time this is too much to expect from Nadal fans and hence the quarrels (most of them online anyway).
It's a bit rich of you to call for "reasonable discussion," since you're one of the big insulters. Anyway, you missed the point. I was pointing out that Darth is employing a double-standard to say that Nadal fans are obnoxious, when he uses abusive language towards us and Nadal at every opportunity. As do you.

I like the crying about Nadal fans considering Fed fans' POV. We know what it is. I'll be scratching my head to remember very many times when Fedfans have considered ours. You think that conceding clay GOATness is so benevolent on your part. Whereas, in reality, a lot of Nadal fans have conceded to the likelihood of Roger being the GOAT in the end. But they are both still playing. Good luck with any notion that "there's no point in debating." That ship sailed in 2008. ;)

Rafa's draws have been fine. Muller and Kyrgios in the 4th rounds of 2014 and 2017 are as good as he could ask for. And then are we really going to complain about facing the likes of Rosol, Darcis and Brown in any round? He isn't any good on fast grass, simple as that.
I agree with this. There's really been no way knowing where the banana peel might come for Rafa at Wimbledon in the last several years. I'm hoping that taking the rest after RG is the best course. A small exho, and then just go for it. He's better off rested than having grass matches pre-Wimbledon.

And the point is he IS the GOAT right now which your cult doesn't accept but good thing is that it doesn't change the reality.

What ship? It's 20 - 17 right now which even the cult agrees is the gold standard to be the GOAT and they still don't accept Fed as the GOAT right now as your post just did when you slipped in 2008.

Just listen to yourself and see how ridiculous you sound. Do me a favour , don't reply to my post cause I'm quite fed up reading illogical garbage from the cult.

You really have a hard time understanding what you read, as you keep missing the point. And I will respond, thanks. Neither Rafa fans nor Fed fans are a "cult." We're a fans base. And as I mentioned in my above, several of us have said that Roger is currently the GOAT. And may end this era being.

The ship that sailed was our leaving off the debate. We will debate this forever. That would have been clear to anyone. And it was a light-hearted comment, as the Fedal wars are legendary around here, and no one can make them stop. :D

What you'd like to stop is Nadal still being in the conversation. The fact is, he's still playing, still winning Majors, and he's 5 years younger than Roger. I don't think the conversation has to stop at least until they both quit playing. But suit yourself. You can abdicate it at anytime.

I gave you the opportunity to consider Fed fans POV so you can get it through your thick skull why we find the Nadal cult annoying and illogical. But you replied rather condescendingly saying that I'm being benevolent about Nadal being clay GOAT when it is a fact that he is just like it is a fact that Federer is the overall GOAT and then decided to shame me which your cult is very good at.

You're just arguing for the heck of it and I have zero interest in these useless exchanges which is more about who has the last word than the actual merits of the discussion itself. Typical dull fangirl, obnoxious as DF pointed out.

Usain Bolt has taken up tennis?

His name is Alex Bolt. He is an up and coming Aussie. Hewitt will be playing doubles with him at the Wimbledon thanks to WC. Also, Bolt is one win away from entering MD of Wimbledon.

You came in here not long ago, all balls-forward, insulting Nadal and his fans. Aggressively. Some might say "trollishly." (I would.) But you've gotten better and have tried to make more of a regular conversation. I think that's great. But don't try to fall all pathetic now and say that I'm being mean to you, just for making my own points. It seems that you tuck tail when a point is well-made against you. Bullies don't like to be stood up to. Feel free to put me on "ignore." Otherwise, man-up and debate. :boxing:

"Man-up and debate". This is the problem with the cult in a nutshell. As far as "debate" goes, you need to look up the meaning in a dictionary because Federer is vastly superior than Nadal on 2/3 surfaces, 3/4 if you consider indoors as a surface so it's not a debate. Winning a bazillion RGs to pad up his slam count isn't changing that so I rest my case. Bark away.

Actually, you Feddies are the cult. At least we discuss. Your contention is that there is no God other than God and God is Roger and the rest of us are a satellite cult. That's a bit much, isn't it? I know you trade hugely in that Roger has had the worst luck in his career, Rafa is all about his amazing luck, and all he's really won is clay. But that's not really true, now, is it? I know you look at the world through Roger-worshiping googles. Clearly, though, there's no getting those things off of your face. I was trying to give you a chance to be in the conversation. Too bad, then.

Actually Moxie is a highly intelligent person who has had many interesting & intelligent conversations about many subjects not just tennis. She's correct. You do just insult people for no reason except that they disagree with you & while you have points sometimes some of your comments are ridiculous & based on what you want to think & believe rather than the truth.

But after the result of last WImbledon it seems the slower surface goes well with Federer

Based on what? He's lost 3 times in the final out of only 11, and I'd call two of them horrendous losses. Tough picturing him with only 8 if Wimbledon had remained fast, especially since that would have killed Nadal and Djoker's chances against him.

Well, the grass after the second week always has been in bad conditions and Roger has......how many Wimbledon? of course when he has lost it was because someone else has played better than him.

He only has 8. The grass the second week especially plays way too slow. They want long boring rallies and they've gotten them.

And don’t you think 8 is a great number?. Not everybody like torpedo serve and volley, many people likes long rallies because are a lot more exciting
