I don’t feel good about Roger’s chances at Wimbledon. I’m guessing Cilic or maybe Sascha wins this one.
Let's face it, he does look a bit wobbly and tired. Feddies circling the wagons and taking to their fainting couches. I suppose we'll all be keen to see the draw on Friday, as it looks to be a bit of a Wild West one.

He just has to man up. 8 Wimbledon's and 20 slams aren't nearly enough
If it just came down to your repeating that, and dint of your will, I'd think it would happen. You've posted that some 20 times already. I don't think anyone has missed where you stand. B-)

I have confidence that Rafa is going to do a good tournament. To me the most dangerous players are Cilic (without blisters:) and Coric after to win Queens and Halle beaten to a good grass players. Kyrgios no so much, Muzz is doing well but probably he needs a little more confidence, step by step but I don’t see him going too far yet. Federer is not playing too good but he will try as more as he can and Novak is playing better but I’m sorry I don’t believe he is going to be the same player as 2011 or 2015, very dificult to get that incredible level

If I'm thinking it the hope is that Mirka and Roger are as well. I remember arguing with people who thought 17 was a huge mark that would be so hard to break in the future. Well 17 is now the new 14. And hopefully 20 isn't the next 14.

Records are made to be broken, the question is whether Roger is done (I don't think so) and whether it's the pleb who catches him. If Fed is stuck at 20 he will probably live to see his record broken, but he will hope its 20-30 years down the road, not 2.

People may not believe me when I say this, but I'm not too concerned with Rafa catching Roger (not that I wouldn't be happy if it happens), however, I'd love to see it happen if only to read Darth's posts. The amount of I told you so's will be fantastic. OK, now I'm sold. Let's hope it happens :D

The amount of I told you so's from me? I already could do that with the 17 talk as well as those clowns who were telling me Roger did well in his 30's before last year.

Anyways I will be long gone from these boards if that happens. The Nadal tard fans are too obnoxious already. And what I said would be true, a career somewhat wasted for Fed. He'd be rich and happy of course.

Everything will depend on the draw. My guess is Fed gets a brutal draw like Murray-Kyrgios-faker-Cilic-final oppponent and dull will get thiem and zverev. Book it.

Cilic's certainly a good contender but Nole seems to come back strong so he could make it happen too

You call us Nadaltards, and Rafa a pleb in even just your last two posts and we're obnoxious? I guess it doesn't matter if you do it, because Roger's the Goat...is that the logic?

I actually think Rafa will get a good draw this time steering clear of all dangerous big servers. It is just the law of averages. He is bound to catch a break. :-(

Bjorn, Opelka and Marathon Man Mahut exited from the quals today.

Gulbis, J. Melzer and the three Aussies Tomic, Kokk and Bolt move forward.

Day 2 is not over yet. Several matches in progress.

For any reasonable discussion to occur, we have to accept some basic facts. One of the facts is that Nadal is clay GOAT and Federer is the overall GOAT. Most Nadal fans don't even want to accept that so there's no point of debating.

I think it'll be great if you actually consider our POV without judging and pointing fingers why we dislike Nadal if not outright despise him. But most of the time this is too much to expect from Nadal fans and hence the quarrels (most of them online anyway).

Rafa's draws have been fine. Muller and Kyrgios in the 4th rounds of 2014 and 2017 are as good as he could ask for. And then are we really going to complain about facing the likes of Rosol, Darcis and Brown in any round? He isn't any good on fast grass, simple as that.

Well, Rafa Nadal has 2 Wimbledon titles, one having beaten the ‘goat’ of grass and he has only one less than Novak besides to make some finals. So definitely I think he is good on grass, the only thing he needs is a good serve

Ya, you are right. These opponents are not generally considered dangerous until they actually beat Rafa. So, apriori one could not be complaining about Rafa's draw.

Young also lost his 2nd round qualifying match.

Also, Daniel Evans and G. Melzer lost.

In Wimbledon 2015 Dreddie Brown hits a service return drop shot in which the ball hits the opp's court and then bounces back to Dustin's own side. An absolute marvel. It is too bad that he won't be there this year as he lost the quals. The Wimbledon organizers choose not to use four WCs. They should have given him one. He not only beat Rafa here, he also beat Hewitt. He is so entertaining to watch.
