Andy is sure to have a major let down in USO. However, I can
visualize Djoker getting his act together in time.

andy has had his let downs.

he has it all out of his system now.

he is the king of new York until proven differently.

any number of things can happen but some things seem to be breaking his way. now nadal is after nole too.

so that may aid/help andy`s own cause at the open with just the right draw.

I believe that andy knows in his heart of hearts now that he can hang with nole and beat him on the biggest of stages.

and the fact that he has done it on 2 different surfaces speaks volumes for andy.

When was the last time Andy defended a GS? That pressure will surely get to him.

Your question has implicit connotations that there ever was a time when he had the chance to defend a GS, which isn't the case.

Your sarcasm detector failed. Just as winning a slam the first time is very difficult task,
defending a GS for the first time is also very difficult. That was my point.

I was going to point that out but general GSM is a cool chap. I don't intend to ruffle his feathers.

this is not rocket science. what I said weeks ago is being played out:

andy has nole on the run

now nadal has talked about being about 2000 points short of what he wants. that tells me that now nadal has nole on the run.

that is a lot of pressure.

I cant see nole wining the u.s. open and I don't see him winning the WTF this year.

and it is not all nole. this is just the game is these days. they just keep coming at your head.

its a brutal sport. you cant dominate all the time. something has to give once in a while.

so clay warrior has single handedly shaken up the entire tennis world in a matter of just 2 weeks.

and he has upset my little theory and my prediction as well in the process.

now have to install him as the heavy favorite along with andy.

so the assault on flushing meadows begins.

the great dunblane warrior will now either be our ally or our adversary in war:

he is our ally if he lands in nole`s 1/2.

nole has been getting too many easy draws. its time he gets the great dunblane warrior.

he will remove nole from the facilities at flushing meadows.

nole is beatable these days. berdych, dynamitrov, and isner have also scored wins over him.

and andy took him to school at Wimbledon.

where the hell is general Kieran? general prepare the troops for war.

we are declaring war on flushing meadows.

we will introduce a new strategy in war this year:

it will be called Operation Mallorcan Blitzkrieg. all adversaries are to be destroyed and demolished beyond any and all recognition at flushing meadows.

Lord Wedgie, Hammer of the House of Nadal, at your service, General CD! The Knuckle Duster of the Left Hand has laid waste the small towns of Montreal and Cincinnati, and my troops are hosed down and watered and ready for the march on Flushing Meadows!

Andy will fight to try & hold his crown, but any of the big 4 could win this,Potty just outside the 4 might win it,if he gets hot.

Agree with you, CD.
He is still the favorite right behind Nadal.
He has the game and he is the defending champion.
I expect him to play better at USO in best of 5 sets.
Nadal had established himself as slight favourite. But if Djoko and Murray come sharper and if Federer shows up we will have very good USO. And in the opening 3 rounds if someone hot shows up for a day we will have upsets like Cincy.

roger will be seeded 7th for this slam.

there was a time when he was seeded #1 for 18 straight slams.

That era had to end sooner or later! I went through the same thing when Martina Navratilova was approaching the end in '94! At least she didn't muse about playing the Olympics 2 years hense! Roger fully anticipates being competitive enough to play Rio '16! It would be nice, but I can't see it beside him selfishly taking a spot from a more deserving player in Switzerland! I said the same about Michelle Kwan hanging on in '05 & '06 in figure skating!
