Clay, brother, you moaned loudly about Ralph playing so well at Montreal and Cinci. Simple question was asked: what should he do?

You didn't answer.

And yet the blatantly obvious thing was happening: Rafa was on a tear.

When he goes on them, nobody stops him.

Now, we all argue about his schedule and the knees are a constant. Fair enough. But what would you have him do? This was the question I asked and you ignored. Come on, buddy. Don't criticise without making a suggestion. Others here moaned about him playing Indian Wells. What do you people want? That he only plays clay? It's nonsense to argue with results and even more so when you see he's not playing hards attritionally but with more brevity in the rallies, in general.

That much was evident even when others like you, unfortunately, were suggesting he take the cotton wool method of managing his career...

I am merely repeating the very same thing that he and his coach have said at least 5 times now that I am aware of.

they have both said that they need to cut back on some of the activity on the hard courts and try to make some adjustments. and nadal himself said when he was doing his 7 month break that he will try to concentrate a little more on clay. they have said countless times that the hard courts are very hard on their player.

so he took in 3 small clay events and dropped Miami. I think that is a step in the right direction.

only I also said over 5 years ago that needed to make some changes in his training and his scheduling.

he went on to have them build him an indoor hard court in Mallorca. and as I have explained, he has spent over 2 years of his prime years on the sidelines.

what is so hard to understand about that.

next knee injury will kill all his progress and quite possibly his career.

his fans are stricken with greed. they want him to win everywhere and on all surfaces for a whole year. and then keep that up year after year after year.

did you ever stop to think that he is just one man.

I worry more about his health and his longevity in the sport. I think he can bag a few more slams on natural surfaces but the time has come to manage the remaining years of his career very carefully.

this u.s. open deal worked out like a charm but there is no need to press his luck anymore.

you saw what happened in 2009: he got greedy and then it ended his year.

he lost to soderling at RG of all the people and then he left Wimbledon on the table.

do you know and understand why that happened? it is because he played and won more matches on the hard courts in 2008.

I think its time to call the dogs off and play a little less on the hard courts for the remainder of the year.

it is far more critical to come in fully healthy, fit, refreshed, and healthy in 2014 than to satisfy the endless greed of his fans who just want him to take everything under the sun.

I am still waiting for you genius revelations broken one:

you picked nadal to fail in montreal against nole and yet you turn around and pick him to win cinci which he had never done even in the best of times.

last time he won 10 titles or more was in 2005.

did you think that nole and murray were going to go bass fishing and skip cinci.

nadal admitted that he was a little bit lucky against nole in montreal. it was decided in a breaker which could have gone in any direction.

so this is the man who just spent 7 months on the sidelines and got blown off the court at Wimbledon by a 3 foot tall pygmy who wins barely 28% of his matches at slams.

and yet you have nadal winning both montreal and cinci.

I think that needs to be explained. I will grab some popcorn.

and I am still waiting on a post where I said that nadal needs to take 7 months off a year.

I don't want this guy missing a single day of practice even if he was to wear a damn cast.

I'm now utterly convinced you don't read other people's posts. Since I addressed that before. Anyway, keep repeating the same nonsense and spamming the same oddly spaced out posts.

let's see your post where you predicted that nadal would win cinci after he got by nole in Montreal.

and nobody who is objective would have made such a prediction.

secondly I want to see a post where I said that nadal needs to take 7 months off a year.

either stop lying to us or just produce the posts.

and you right about one thing anyway: I quickly skip over your posts.

they are fairly insignificant.

But you can learn so there is hope.

and lay off that cheap liquor broken one.

try 12 year old single malt scotch.

and one other thing: since you are so good at predictions why don't you tell us who is going to win wtf and the next slam.

what is so difficult about this anyway.

tell us who is going to win if you have guts.

no beating around the bush. just make the prediction.

and then I will also make my prediction for all to see here.

You said he needs to stop playing on hards. Which means play from mid February till early July. Which amounts for 4 and a half months.

I think next knee injury will finally force him to cut back a little bit on the hard court activity.

he skipped Miami but immediately added Basel and a few other events.

I never said he needs to stop playing on the hard courts.

there are many ways to cut back.

I will explain later when I get home.

it's tough to post with I phone.
