Taking all the good wishes from all the fanbases (including those by Fedovic fans) and redirecting them all to Nadal. Thank you all. :rose:

I don't think Med will win this AO. I also don't give much chance for Ralph. Novak is the obvious favorite. Tits might outperform other youngsters here.
Would you agree that Rafa is the 2nd best hardcourt player in the world

Smoke won't be much of a factor. They'll close the roof(s) turning the whole thing into an indoor event.
The roofs are for the major courts. Those playing on smaller arenas may be affected.

See @tented's post above about the rules. As I understand it, and @MargaretMcAleer might be able to clarify, but it depends on the wind direction how much the air is poor. I guess it will be like a rainy Wimbledon, how much matches get backed up, but they will stop them if the air gets poor.

The outside courts will be affected to a degree. If the air quality becomes too poor to play outside, they will suspend matches and move as many as they can to a roof court to finish.

Now or all time? Hard to say the best just because he had a nice summer last year! SO what? Fed had 5 in a row; probably only derailed from more titles by elite play and comebacks of Djokovic on 2 or 3 occasions! Nole obviously #1 leading with HC majors and Masters chps!

I don't know AP's intention, but I think he means right now. That's the implication. You can't really say he's not the 2nd best HC player ATM. Underplay it as a "nice summer," if you like, but it included the US Open title. Who else would you put in there?

Currently...No Roger and Novak are probably tied for the best hardcourt players of all time.

Federer wont even win a set if he plays Djokovic at AO, Medvedev the best chance of beating Djokovic in the final but likely lose before that seeing as he might have to play goat nadal.

Sorry, the days of me being transported by the words of Federer are over! I don't blame some players for voicing their honest opinion! We all know they're saying it behind the scenes! That's something the top players will always have to endure! If they couldn't stand the heat, they wouldn't be elite players! You can be assured, it Fed goes out there eyes burning & begins to cough, "it's over!" Who are we kidding?

Looks like you did not watch the last match between them.

Wednesday, Jan. 22: Second round, 12 a.m. GMT on Eurosport, 9 p.m. ET Tuesday on ESPN2

Thursday, Jan. 23: Second round, 12 a.m. GMT on Eurosport, 9 p.m. ET Wednesday on ESPN2

Friday, Jan. 24: Third round, 12 a.m. GMT on Eurosport, 11 p.m. ET Thursday on ESPN2

Saturday, Jan. 25: Third round, 12 a.m. GMT on Eurosport, 9 p.m. ET Friday on ESPN2

Sunday, Jan. 26: Third round, 12 a.m. GMT on Eurosport, 9 p.m. ET Saturday on ESPN2

Monday, Jan. 27: Round of 16, 12 a.m. GMT on Eurosport, 9 p.m. ET Sunday on ESPN2

Tuesday, Jan. 28: Quarter-finals, 12 a.m. GMT on Eurosport, 9 p.m. ET Monday on ESPN2

Querrey/Coric is a tough first round, also maybe Shapo/Fucsovic.

Just turned on my TV and the matches have started.
Denis already down a break in the first set against Marci Fucsovics. Have not seen the break. Common Denis!
