Nishikori wins, but at what cost. At least he didn't whither.

He's through but he's aged considerably already and it surely won't help his chances.

Nice finish for Roger. And nice to get off the court.

They're saying players are having an ice bath before the match to lower body temperature before they hit the courts. Insane heat to be playing in. Well, I'd love to watch more tennis but can't unfortunately. Enough the rest of the tennis everyone. Especially would've liked to see Nadal v Tomic but will miss it unfortunately.

I would love to see Kokkinikas to see how much he has matured sincew I last saw him play. He will be on show court 3 after Nick's match

Roger's break point conversion ratio sucks. Even against someone like James Duckworth
it is terrible. How will it be against better players (i.e., even forgetting elite players for the
moment). This surely should be one area where he needs to look at what is happening.
I don't have the wisdom to answer the question though.

I am wondering if Rafa can be upset by, home-crowd-favorite, Mr Tomic?

Can we call it 15-20% chance?

Rafa has won 8 times at RG without being a crowd favorite (to put it politely,) if you mean the crowd being a factor. I would say 0% chance of the crowd affecting Nadal. If you mean Tomic upsetting Nadal, himself, I would say 0% chance. I hope that clarifies it. :)

However, I think 0 + 0 = 1 (i.e., he will probably take one set off Nadal).

It is very hot, Rafa sweats like crazy and that would probably help Tomic somewhat.

Just read on twitter that Stepanek has retired after being up 7-6 6-4 1-6 0-2. It has reached 107 degrees. That is crazy hot.

That is good news for Fed. I was worried about the worm giving trouble to Fed.

Also, the heat may not affect Nadal that much as he will be playing at 7 p.m.
Does not it cool down by then over there?

It will start to cool off a bit. Plus Rafa's not bothered by heat. And Tomic is local, so I don't expect it to factor.

It's starting to seem cruel. I'm going back to my argument that they should move it to the end of Feb.

I think that will never happen. Everything is driven by business aspect. Apparently,
the timing has got to do with summer vacation for school system over there.

This means Stepanek and Kvitova gets to go home together. Good for the relationship.

After all the talk that Hewitt will go deep, he is down a set and a break to Seppi
