Weather for Friday in Melbourne is nuts. High of 42c and dropping to only 15c. That's some range!

For those in the US, that's a range of 59 through 107.6. If it reaches 42c/107.6f they better stop play.

For people like me that love a chart. :)

Isner dropped the first set to Klizan 2-6. Heat can't be helping the big guy, and now he'll have to go at least 4 to get through.

Wait…the women get daintier treatment then the men? And yet the men play longer. That's bizarre.

Sure they get such muppetry as on court coaching as well. WTA has become a total farce.

You know I dislike that on-court coaching. But I don't think the WTA governs this event, and it seems a tournament policy. (I could be wrong.) In any case, it's a weird throwback.

Is it just me or does it sound like many serves actually clip the net but apparently don't here? Loads of times I've thought I heard the ball clip the net and it was just a normal point, no 2nd serve.

Who names their kid Storm Sanders? I mean seriously?! Sounds like a hurricane or a wrestler/MMA fighter!

Great name for a pro athlete, I'd say. Good thing she is one.

I agree it's a cool name for a pro athlete but still :D

Anyway, bye bye to the lovely Camila Giorgi and hello to Fed. Hope he doesn't play like a complete tool.

They're saying it's 102F in the shade now! Imagine the on court temperature. Also the wind is picking up quite a bit the last hour. Watching the last WTA match the balls were flying all over the place on ball tosses for serves.

Espn just switched to Isner v. Klizan. Isner seems to be hobbled. They're in a TB, but he really may not get out of this match, it seems. I think that would help Murray.

Yeah, Isner said he wasn't feeling great against Kohlschreiber last week and his serve was all that won it for him. They're saying Wozniacki's bottle of water melted on the court in the shade. Crazy heat out there.

First time in a long time Fed has taken a break point at the first opportunity.

THAT is sick! And Isner retired with bum ankle.

Duckworth started well but he's looking cooked now. Time to add in the plum sauce.
