Sloane should have retired years ago, she goes out in the first round of her tournaments she has played since last year, also a known lazy trainer
I did'nt know that Sloane's tennis has fallen away. It's certainly a far cry from 2017 U S Open where she won it in style, defeated Madison Keys in the final. In those days i was so impressed by her game and on-court demeanor.

Saba sending a strong message

This has been the best match she has played
Going into the quarter finals with a emphatic win 61 62 over Andreeva
I don't see who can stop her, do you? Saba's going to win her third straight AO championship next week.

I really thought like others Sloane could go on and be No 1 player and win more GS titles, sad to see Sloane who had soo much potential just fade away

Please Sloane has always been a lazy trainer, she had the game after she won her USO title to win more GS titles, and her game has gone from bad to worse over the years, she should do herself a favor and retire, instead of enter tournaments and going out in first rd matches
I agree that Sloane is a career underachiever, and she should have won more, but the 2017 US Open wasn't a fluke. She followed it up well in 2018, in which she finished the season #6 in the world, and made the French Open and Tour finals. Yeah, Sloane sucked from 2019 forward, but what she did in 2018 is better than anything Raducanu did outside of her US Open win.

I never said or stated that when Sloane won the USO it was a fluke? so dont take me out of context?
Sloane had the potential to win more GS titles, fact remains she didnt, known lazy trainer, also when she gets behind in matches she gives up.
I have already stated my opinion on Raducanu.
Quite frankly I am over talking about Sloane or Raducanu
Lets comment on the matches at hand at the AO

Veronika Kudermetova who has been in the 'tennis doldrums' finally winning matches here at the AO, she does have a H2H 2-0 against Svitolina though that was some time ago in 2021.
Going on current form Svitolina to win.

German LL Lys has had a good tournament making it to the round of 16, thats where it ends, Swiatek to win

Emma Navarro (8) gaining confidence as she has battled well winning in 3 sets, taking on 9th seed Kasatkina, Emma needs to play first strike tennis in order to defeat Kasatkina

Rybakina has come under a slight injury concern with her lower back, as she was forced to have a MTO for it in her previous match, but prevailed to win, Keys and Rybakina have a H2H 2 all, both on HCs, latest meeting was in Miami in 2024, Elena winning. Keys could upset Rybakina, she needs to watch her margins and keep UFE in check.

Svitolina won in 2 sets, over Kudermetova, 64 61
Well done to Madison Keys defeating the No 6 seed Rybakina in 3 sets, adjusted her game after the 2nd set, winning 63 16 63

Svitolina will play Madison Keys in the QF

and interestingly, Iga Swiatek's last two singles rounds she wins by 6-1, 6-0 (Raducanu), 6-0, 6-1 (Eva Lys).... Just Uttter, Utter domination.

When was the last time a player has won two consecutive GS rounds by these scores? Possibly Steffi Graf or Serena ????

I wanna see Iga win the championship. A Fun player to watch when she's in full force.:yesyes:

Just listened to some of Elena Rybakina's press conference after her loss in the round of 16 to Madison Keys
Elena speaks to Vukov regarding her matches at the AO, who is still under investigation from the WTA, facing allegations of abuse,
Elena was asked going forward would Goran be part of her coaching team going forward after the AO, she said they will need to have more conversations? whatever that means.Quite frankly if Vukov gets cleared back to coach from the WTA investigations, I cant see Goran hanging around.Shame!
