...You were saying? Sabalenka in the fight of her life against Pablyuchenkova after splitting sets! Anastasia was up a break in the 3rd, but choked away her own serve twice! Aryna back on serve, 3-2! Novak & Carlos will have to wait a little while longer before their epic clash! :astonished-face::yawningface::face-with-hand-over-mouth::fearful-face:
Pav didnt choke at all are you watching this match, what about giving some credit to Saba with her return game?, I knew this would be a tight match
Your understanding of this match leaves a lot to be desired if you have watch all the whole match at all lol!

Saba broke as she has been mounting the pressure in her last couple of service games with love service games
Saba will serve for the match at 5-3 and a place in the SF
Sabalenka shaken but not stirred winning 62 26 63, she upped her game in the 3rd set showing how tough she is!
Bad luck Pavs, you had the right tactics, but you needing to have them for the whole match!
Well done Saba you have been my picked to win the tournament for a 3rd time and tying with Martina Hingis with 3 consecutive wins at the AO.

Iga pulled a Draper and didn't call a double bounce on herself. I told you, she should not be winning any sportsmanship awards, period. And now I hope either Maddy or Saba smokes her since it looks like Emma will come up short today...

I am sick and tired of players pushing the rules and boundaries in tennis full stop, I have recorded both Maddy and Iga's game, my opinion of Iga has dipped darmatically , after what she did at the United Cup with her strategic bathroom breaks and then saying her press conference she was tired? players playing Possum for their advantage is below the belt in my eyes, I mean look what Novak did last night in his match, he is a Master of Possum and players fall for it time and time again sad to say.
Keli I just saw the point awarded to Iga it was a double bounce ..........Terrible look for tennis
I need to sleep before I watch any tennis, I am glad Madison won btw.

Double bounce Swiatek. Screw these players not willing to admit the obvious.

Sabalenka (1) vs Badosa(11) H2H Saba 5-2

These 2 are the best of friends, though on RLA playing against one another thats where it will end.
Saba has a played a couple of power hitters in Tauson and Pavs before the SFs who did rattle her, she buckled down, controlled her shots and won.
Badosa hasnt got the overall power of shot, though her baseline game could rattle Saba, one thing she dosent want to do is give Sabalenka pace.

Sabalenka to win.

Swiatek (1) vs Keys (19) H2H Swaitek 4-1

Keys has to find a balance of attack and defense against Iga, and try to get into the first point against her.
Keys does thrive on a fast hard court.Keys has defeated Iga in Cincinnati in 2022, where Keys thrived on a fast hard court
At the Australian Open this year the courts are faster, though both SFs are at night where the temperature will be cooler and the balls slower, which will favor Iga and her style of play and topspin.

Iga to win.

From 0-2,0-40, Sabalenka takes the 1st set 64 v Badosa. Great set from both players
Sabalenka now in full control of this match with a double break in the 2nd set 4-1,
Badosa under the pump now every point is getting harder to win, Sabalenka has been quite unplayable in the 2nd set.
Sabalenka d Badosa 64 62 to make her 3rd consecutive GS final at the AO
Well done to Badosa, she will be back in the Top Ten after the AO, she has battled back well, after her back fractures, well done Badosa!

Routine win for Saba incoming. Hope 2nd semi will be a closer match.
Hi Don,
Well I think the cooler conditons and the ball is heavier really will help Iga, I feel if this was a day match, warm and courts faster, it would suit Madison better.

Early breaks of serve from Iga and Madison in the 1st set, Madison has to watch her UFE and not over play, I understand she wants to get 'on top of the point first., over playing has let her down. Iga with good returning wins the 1st set 75, especially in the last couple of service games
