Hey..You want a war..I want my top dawg mentality preparing for AO not this eVent
Understandable.
What war you mean? There is no war or fight online and anonymous, writing words is kids-play. and in real life you don’t want to fight me, believe me my friend.
and by the way it’s not worth to risk health because of tennis billionaires who give a shit about us. Agree?

Bonaca. What you are saying is 100 percent correct..Sports give us a break from our 8-5 jobs, our family duties and the rest of our lives and challenges...That being said. I WANT #20 and #21. No need to waste my warrior battling those loonies for a tournament that no one will remember in a month or so from now.

Absolutely. nothing to add.
I don’t like it, but it’s very likely you will get 20 and 21. surely more likely then I will get no 17-19 and or Fedfans no 21.
Greetings to Chicago!

No thx. I’m not looking for these kind of battling.
But sometimes while reading some sort of posts here, I feel the need to respond.
Canadian Citizen?

His @brokenshoelace posts are perfect afterwards a large meal that is full of fiber and veggies while you are sitting on your throne

Yeah even I recognised the special friendship between you two.
My relationship with him is the same again when I am sitting on my throne but I haven't had a proper ratio of fiber, fruit veggies to my recent diet. Its the same type of struggle trying to wipe away all the lingering residue of my prior meals. Comprehende

Funny how you mentioned that bad call against David, I remember that match very good . I was so pissed, because he controlled Nadal on clay until this shit. But couldn’t reset after that and fell apart.
That was a terrible call and cost David the game. Not even a shock that he lost the set. But letting it bother him to the point that he only won one more game in the match is on him.
He also is sweating more than everyone else, maybe this was the reason for today’s loss ;-):
Rafa always sweats more than everyone else.

They want to promote this Cup, so I’m pretty sure they put their best to play against each other, like Novak will play Daniil, and hopefully Novak- Nadal.
Even if the rules weren't what they are, look at the H2H of each to the other. The correct coaching decision is to have Rafa play De Minaur, as RBA is 0-2 against him. (I know because i was surprised, too, and looked it up.)

Good points Moxie..also Nick has a tendency to play down to the level of his competition..RBA is one of the best in extending the point and that's what you want Nick to do..try to play to the Glee of the audience not his opponents.

Also, good point. Nick gets up for the marquee match, not the undercard.

What a woeful t/break from Khachanov winning just one point.Kudos to Lajovic wins in straights set 75 76(1)

The only good thing about the Russian team at present is I get to look at Marat Safin:) still a God

Even though Goffin deserved his win against Rafa last night,it was very humid in Sydney and the conditions were very slow, different court to the one Spain played in Perth. We have had a big wind change overnight and it is cloudy, windy and very cool conditions today.

No diss on Lajovic, but I thought Russia had a really strong team. I had them to win the final. Of my few regrets that I can't watch this tourney, missing out on seeing Safin would be one of them. Thanks for reminding me of what I'm missing, Margaret.

@mrzz: I always get this wrong. Is Dusan Lajovic the Serbian player that you like so much?

That was easy: Does he have a one handed back hand? Actually he has maybe the most beautiful and fluid one handers in the tour.

I was about to comment on his string of wins -- even knowing that most people would not even know who the guy is.

What I most like about the guy is his approach on court: focused, hard working, always respectful and the exact opposite of over competitiveness. Also, I really like his point construction, a good balance between smart and offensiveness. If I don't take into account realistic expectations of results -- that will have me rooting for Federer 1st and Thiem 2nd in major events -- Lajovic would easily be the player I mostly root for.

He has beaten some quality opponents this tournament, I really hope he carries that form into AO.
