It was a replica.. NOBODY has ever won a grand Slam 10 times LA DECIMA.. VAMOS Kelli

Who gave the second trophy to whom?

I am not sure what happened. But, I believe Tony presented it to Rafa. The big trophy that we see is just for show. The players do not get to take it home. The players are usually given a smaller replica to take home. I think this year, instead of smaller replica, they gave Rafa a full size replica.

You may be correct.. Hey GSM did you hear that Stan just hired Paul Annacone to assist his team for his grass court season.. Stan is going for it..Good for him

The French seem to have softened their stance on Nadal. I remember they never quite liked him and it almost verged on bad blood after the Soderling loss in 2009. He definitely gets much better ovations and crowd support nowadays, and seems to be more appreciated.

Just saw on tennis.com. Certainly a valuable addition. But, not sure he can deliver anything quickly.

Stan would definitely need to stand closer to the baseline on grass. He likes to take big cuts with the backhand which means that if he does step up he'll have less time on the ball which could explain his results on grass.

Still it makes no damn sense

Not only is Nadal on clay a huge uphill battle but beating him in a final at RG is next to impossible. Stan will have his chances in any other slam final he reaches outside of clay imo regardless of who he plays. Nadal took away all his time today and played a great match and was way more aggressive than usual because he realized he needed to be. On a faster surface Stan will still be dangerous. I definitely agree it's WAY too early to count Stan out anywhere unless it's RG against Nadal.

I'd like to see Stan do well at Wimbledon. Theoretically he should be able to do well, but as mentioned, his preference to hitting from far behind the baseline is definitely an obstacle, and it's not something you can just shake off easily. But he has the serve and well-rounded game to do well...he just struggles against guys who can take that time away from him like Roger.

You are correct, they decided to give Rafa a full size replica which he can take home and they want that Toni gives to him because this year is the last time (Toni) will be there

Stan just hired Annacone to help his team for the grass court season.

I've read in a Spanish Newspaper that this was the last RG that Toni will be in the box but you never know if later he would change the mind?

Does that mean that its gonna be Moya and Franky Rio only going forward?
