Really when he destroyed Novak at Madrid.. the Tennis World knew Rafa was ready to win grand slams championships again.. This is good for the game of tennis

We will agree to disagree. Nothing about that guy is good for the game, time shall tell.

I got to check with GSM to see is there's a possibility that Fed would be in Rafa's qtr.. A Fedal at Wimbledon is just asking a bit too much of the the tennis gods.. afterwards a Fedal at AO and RAFA'S La Decima

Thank you MissCarol
You are very welcome. I was looking some interviews of Toni, Moya and Rafa in Spanish after the final, they don't say too much about it but be sure that even Toni won't be in the box like before he still will help a lot, he will be "there"

Pretty sure it will be possible since Roger is likely to be the #5 seed unless he somehow leapfrogs Nole with the Wimbledon seeding formula.

Haven't done detailed calculations. Here is the approximate current scenario. It looks like Rafa and Roger are at 2 and 5 (not just in rankings) as per Wimbledon seeding formula as well. But, Roger has a chance of moving up to 4 if he wins both Stuttgart and Halle. If Roger moves up to 4, then they will not be in the same quarter. So, you should root for Roger in the warm-ups.

Unlike in rankings in Wimbledon seedings, the player just above Fed (as of now) is Stan. Fed would need to leapfrog Stan and their difference in formula points is quite less and so it is doable.

I don't care who Roger faces, time for him to win #8, he's screwed the pooch to not be sitting on at least 9 by now

The 2014 AO final loss to Stan was one of the toughest for Rafa. A good friend of mind said that she felt it would have a longtime lingering affects on Rafa's mental attitude. Rafa went on to capture RG over Novak but he really hasn't been the same since. My friend was correct because Rafa began to doubt himself, he spoke of the nervousness he had in competing for titles. I know as a fan I was totally outrage with Rafa because I felt he was exposing way too much of his inner feelings and provided a formula for his opponents a way to defeat him especially if the match was close.. The matches Rafa lost was at the level of humiliating and very humbling but Rafa stay classy even fans like myself became disloyal and consistently called for immediate changes to his coaching team (although I was correct that he needed to add to another voice to his team but not replace to abolish Toni totally)and more extreme tweaks to his game. Today opponent Stan was the one opponent that Rafa needed to avenge. Nothing against Stan as a player because he is a fabulous player and competitor. However, a lot of us felt that he was a bit disrespectful to Rafa's injury medical timeout and the rude AO was very harsh..However, its all in the game of tennis and time heals all wounds.. Very fitting to have Toni come out and stand on stage with his nephew. Toni was the real architect of Rafa's game and one of the greatest tennis coach ever(maybe Toni is the GOAT). Vamos and Congrats to Rafa and the Nadal Family plus all the Rafa fans.. A win has never felt so good.

God Bless

So thrilled for Rafa. He was committed to winning this RG, and it showed. I'm away, but looking forward to catching up with some of the chat. Nadal is back to some of his best tennis. ¡Vamos!

Excellent performance by Rafa to win RG without losing a set, and congratulations because 10 is a magical number. However, I do not understand how you would say that Stan was disrespectful to Rafa's timeout at the 2014 AO final, making it look like the RG final was some kind of grudge match. I never saw any sign of bad blood between the two players.

No .not a grudge match between the players but more from how some fans see the match..definitely not all fans feel like I did but some of Us did..I dont know know Rafa and he probably didnt see it that way but I know as a competitor, Rafa wanted to avenge loosing a match he most likely felt he would have been able to win if circumstances were different, I hope this is clear

Rafa stat: Everytime Rafa was won a French Open title withou loosing a set(08 and 2010), Rafa has won the Wimbledon championship.
