Regarding the time violations and the lack of a shot clock, I think the entire 20-25 second rule is utter BS. I've been watching tennis for a long time and that is an innocuous rule that was never enforced. One only has to look at any older match to see that the guys took their time, stopping, getting drinks, and arguing at the baseline, not to mention holding the game up to dispute calls.

Secondly, at one point they put a shot clock on the TV and quickly abandoned it because they found that the majority of the tour went over the time limit.

And last but not least, if anyone was guilty of time wasting it was Maria; walking to the back of the court, standing at the baseline tucking her hair behind her ear and doing whatever she pleased. I don't recall her getting time violations, ever. So, stop with the bull crap. It's nothing more than a witch hunt.

Roger's return is just awful. He got plenty of looks at second serve throughout the set. He's just too happy to slice it back and start the point behind.

difficult for Federer if he can't win in 3, his fitness is too erratic to stand a 5 setters
Cilic plays well, he really surprises me

Points are short though... it's not a war of attrition, I don't think fitness will be Fed's biggest issue... lack of matchplay maybe.

His problem is the juice monkey is swinging from the hip

This one looks over sadly barring a quick break back.

Great to see Cilic playing so well - hope he can keep it up. Goran is on the edge of his seat!

That ROS has kept him from winning a couple more Wimbledons at least.

Haven't seen Cilic play like this since...well....

I thought Roger was moving better a couple of days ago then today.

Raonic-Cilic semi it will be. Can't stand either and will be rooting for whoever makes the final. I think Murray will take out either.

Cilic played a great tiebreak and the first few games of the second but this is not anything like his USO 2014 level when he played like that start to finish. Roger has had chances in both sets. Pretty dismal returning

Very dismal returning but you've got to give some dues to Cilic for being aggressive @Twisted - although some can be attributed to Roger dropping a lot of short balls basically inviting Cilic to take control of the point.
