AP is mistaking darthfed for front. Except darthfed would never whine about these things, he'd just say Ferrer sucks.

Maybe the worst draw possible for Murray. Kyrgios in the 1st? I sure hope he doesn't say anything about Kim. You don't want the wrath of Judy and Kim on you. Wawrinka in the semis, Fed in the semis and then Djokovic. Well, Murray is going to get his 2nd USO title the old-fashioned way. He'll EARN it.

Yeah, won't be missing Ferrer one bit if he never plays another match in his life.

People are assuming a lot in those later rounds! I feel some upsets early on! It has to happen sooner or later! The question is who will it be; a worn down Nole, an overachieving Murray, an aging Roger, or broken down Rafa? The draw is loaded and pressure begins from day one for some of them! ;-)

I think Haas is using his protected ranking, so he will be in the Main Draw. Stepanek definitely didn't get a wild card, but I don't know if he can use a protected ranking too or has to qualify...

Radek has not entered in the qualifying draw.

Bummer :(
Stepanek plays Ilhan in the 1st round and potentially Nishikori in the 2nd. So he must have been able to use a protected ranking as well.

^ Cool. Glad to hear it. Entertaining guy to watch. Hopefully he can get back to some good form before he retires, along with Haas. The match at Wimbledon last year against Djokovic is a good indication of how good Stepanek can still be, although the last injury seems to have taken its toll a bit.

Fed has fairly easy first three rounds. In the 4th round, he gets winner of the battle between the trees Big John and Dr. Evil. But, Rog is usually very good at dealing with big servers and so I think he should be fine in that 4th round match.

I am bit worried about Bird. The SF wil be tough as well, especially if Stan makes it there.
It would be nice if second and third quarters were flipped. Then Fed would be slated to play Kei or Ferrer in SF.

As is Novak has the easiest possible draw. Novak gets lucky in almost every single round in
this draw, except for the finals (which is unavoidable).

Of the top eight, I don't see Ferrer and Nadal making the QF, maybe Berdych either. If Wawrinka makes the QF, he could be dangerous. If he makes it that far.

True darth Fed isn't a whiner like Fronty whom I couldn't never mistaken for being Darth. Fronty whines about everything he feels is related to Rafa. Getting back on topic is pretty tough for Rafa and I think Krygios will loose but will cause Andy some complications

There's a thing I always believe in tennis, you don't get your confidence or form back by taking easy routes. Rafa has a draw that we wouldn't have noticed in 2013 (except the QF), but today it's fraught with menace: a tough kid who upset him last year in Basel; Fog who became a mini-boogeyman this summer; Feli, who just turfed him out of Cinci. It's kinda like, if he can get through them - and potentially Raonic - then he's mustered up something better than he's shown in ages, right?

And if he loses then he's no worse than we've seen already. I'm an optimist, I think the five set formula will suit him. I don't think he's a particularly good draw for Novak in the quarters - if he was to make it that far, which is obviously not a given. I'm very curious to see how Rafa handles this draw...

Goffin may give Djoker more of a fight then his fans anticipate. That could a be a very interesting 4th round.

Interesting first round matches:

a. Decliner (Rafa) vs. Incliner (Coric)
b. Bad Boy (Nick) vs. Body Grabber (Andy)
c. Banger (Kokk) vs. Kisser (Gasquet) and perhaps

Haas vs. Verdasco also.

Did anyone catch Nole on MSNBC's, "All In W/ Chris Hayes?" It's repeating now, but won't play until the last segment of the show; close to the end of the hour! ;-)
