After the way she lambasted Coco, I'm thinking Iga no likey that deuce next to her name. :nono:
Apart from that match, I thought Coco played well, during the tournament, she did have shoulder issues in the 2nd set, and I think it was wise for Coco to withdraw from WTA500 Zhengzhou tournament.

Swiatek is only 465 points away from Sabalenka, with the WTA finals coming up, she still has a great shot at finishing the year as the world No 1
Okay I am off to bed just past midnight here and I need my beauty sleep :)

For sure. We need not see a repeat performance of last year's WTA finals when the top Americans went 0-?

No joke. Home girl is awful and Rybakina doesn't really try hard enough to solve the riddle when someone has her number
Nah Keli @kskate2 to say she is awful is unfair...she beat the top tier of big babe tennis this week.. although Tossip did say IGA would defeat her .

she is awful in the finals as Tossip said. Cmon keep up AP. That's the second or third final I've seen where she literally didn't show up

She will also play doubles with home favorite Ons Jabeur

Can you explain why Jess and Ons are playing meaningless tourneys?

Can you explain why Jess and Ons are playing meaningless tourneys?
Well Jess is half Korean her mother Kim was a orphan in Korea, and Jess visited her mothers orphanage it in 2019, when it was her first visit, she also said a lot of the stuff that her mum did, being an Asian woman in sport to Jessica was a big deal, she also said she feels at home in this tournament.
Well Ons to me needs all the match play she can muster.

Garbine Muguruza on a comeback,
"As for today, I have no intention to do it.Tennis does not occupy any place in my routine, it dosent occupy my mind,my day or my routines, I'm really taking a real break and trying to stay away from the court" ( source Mario Baccardi)

Garbine turned 30 a few days ago, sounds like her tennis career is done.

Ons Jabeur has withdrawn from the Zhengzhou after her hard fought win over Lucia Bronzetti, she has sustained another knee injury.
This was my point about she didn't need to play this week. She has her home tourney in Tunisia next week and then the WTA finals. Now all of that may be in jeopardy.

I take your point in regards not needing to play this week, though her knee has been giving her grief all year, I really thought after Wimbledon she should have taken a break, physically and more importantly mentally, agree this latest injury may put her final tournaments in jeopardy.
