Coco Gauff's Year End world rankings:

2019 - 68 (first full season)
2020 - 48
2021 - 22
2022 - 7
Current - 6

Coco's world ranking has improved significantly each year she has been on tour. And she also won at Auckland just last month, which disproves your statement that "she will not be winning any of those tournaments". I'll admit that Coco has hit a rough patch since winning at Auckland, but let's not act as if she's full blown gone backwards like 93 US Open Capriati.
I don't think anyone is saying she hasn't improved since she made her debut. Obviously, she has. But there have been significant matches that she should have played better in or won as she was the higher ranked player. Some tweaks need to be made to her game. Trying a new coach isn't all bad. She won't know what she can achieve until she tries.

We are going 3 sets, in the match Sakkari v Garcia, Sakkari won the 1st set 62 and it was a tight 2nd set which went to a t/break, Garcia winning 76 (5)
I go for a run to comeback to a another t/break for the 3rd set lol!

I had a feeling that Coco didn't want to play Iga.I think subconsciously she didn't want to face Iga and lose again.Coco is still very young and to imagine she has earned some money as Kudermetova a 25yr old.She is doing relatively well compared to players in her age group. She has time to fix her forehand and serve.Coco is a hard worker and believe she will fix her weaknesses as she grows older and wiser.
I love you Tossip, though Kudermetova deserved her victory today over Coco, she was patient today in her victory, at times in matches, I feel she isnt. Coco to me is a very competitive young woman, wants to win regardless of who she plays, I know the H2H is 5-0 to Iga so far against Coco, though to me that is how a player improves against a higher ranked player, sometimes you have to get beaten in order to know why, and try to improve in the area's going forward.

Maria Sakkari gets her first win over Caroline Garcia, in 4 tries, though she had to do it in 3 sets, 62 67(5) 76 (5)
Sakkari will play Jess Pegula in the other semi final.
I like both players, but Sakkari was needing this. Just saw the highlights. Great win for the Greek.

Yes she sometimes folds in these tight situations, though she will be against a difficult player in the s/final tomorrow in Pegula

In very windy conditions Pegula gets the win in 3 sets against Sakkari 62 46 61
Jess is the first player through to the final, she will play the winner of Swiatek or Kudermetova
Jess said it was the hardest conditions she has played in.
If you include singles, doubles and mixed doubles, Pegula 2023 record is pretty good
22 wins, 4 losses

I have always believed ' the wind is a good leveller' in tennis
Swiatek about to give a bagel to Kudermetova
Swiatek 1st set 60 in 24 minutes
Swiatek d Kudermetova in 55 mins 60 61, she outclassed Kudermetova in every department, handled the wind with ease, and will play Pegula in the final tomorrow

The Dubai tournament has been resurfaced with Decoturf.Organizers say the speed will remain 'medium-fast' ( Sabalenka was practicing with Fernandez there today).

Playing in the wind favors the player who's movement is foot to ball like Iga and Rafa's game. Thiem was once this type of player. E.g. Saba and Madison are not good foot to ball players..

It's a good practice tip for the weekend warriors and players that play USTA league tennis. If you are spraying the ball all over the courts, try to move in on the ball with your feet and catch the ball earlier on the rise. Just my two cents worth.
