Just watching the match between The Banchee vs Ostapenko, at the Abu Dhabi Open, it has been a fun and feisty match so far lol!, though sad to see the stands empty, I have counted 10 people so far. I set all, though Ostapenko is leading 4-2 in the 3rd set
Ostapenko just broke herself with 3 DFs and back on serve 4 all in the 3rd set
thanks for the heads up. Let's face it these may be two of the most unlikable personalities on tour. I dont blame the fans.. I would give 3-4 hours of my time to watch them live against each other

Good matches tomorrow in Abu Dhabi,

B.Haddah Maia (6) vs M.Bouzkova
P.Badosa coming back from injury after she had to withdraw from the AO vs L. Samsonova (8)
K. Pliskova vs G. Muguruza, Garbine has lost her way, over the last couple of years, to me she needs to go back to small tournaments, gets some wins and build back her confidence and her game.
Y. Putintseva vs B. Andresscu.....will Bianca ever be injury free? coming into this tournament with neck and shoulder niggles had to retire in her match at the Thailand Open
S. Rogers vs L. Fernandez

For the life of me I do not understand why Andreescu is playing in Abu Dhabi, she had to retire in her match in Thailand due to neck and shoulder injury, today again she has had to have a MTO for her shoulder.
Putintseva won the 1st set 76(2) and leading 4-0 in the 2nd set
Putinsteva d Andreescu 76(2) 62, nice hug at the net.
Nice win by B.Haddad Maia (6) over M.Bouzkova 46 63 60
S. Rogers d L. Fernandez, 64 67(5) 61, Rogers outplayed Fernandez for most of the match, Fernandez did well to get a set.Fernandez is still in the doubles draw in the tournament

No surprise in that I welcome the victory from Clara Tauson over irena Begu (third seed) in tournament WTA250 in Linz. With all the hick ups in 2022 I can understand her smile during the interview after the match. Hope she also wins over Giorgi tomorrow

Ons Jabeur will undergo minor surgery in order to improve her overall health as advised by her team, she has withdrawn from Doha and Dubai, apart from her lower back injury she sustained before the AO, Jabeur has had a knee problem which has been ongoing so I would not be surprised if the minor surgery is on her knee.

Iga will be facing a similar challenge. She won 5 tourneys in a row and 35+ match win streak. She has a ton of points to defend and it will be quite interesting to see how the new slam champs (Elena & Saba) perform especially on the HC

Watched Elena in her match against Pliskova earlier today in Abu Dhabi, Elena was better in every department than Pliskova, defeated her 64 62.
