Courmayeur is a hard court tournament in Italy - hmmmm. I wonder if Giorgi will play and see if she can get back to some of that Canadian Open quality of play. She hasn't won a match since so I hope things improve for her.

Sofia is still struggling with COVID sad to say.I have not read why Coco was not in the squad....I too found that strange.I will post any news why Coco was not included in the squad.,if I read it.

That was bound to happen w/ her skipping all these events and then not defending the USO points. She can drop even further if she doesn't have it together for Aus.

I read recently she said she had a 'itch to get on the court again"? then she withdrew from IW,then I saw a selfie with her and Elmo of Sesame Street?....I give up lol!

I think that it was way to much celebrity too soon for Osaka even though she is over 23 now .. hopefully she can get her tennis life and mind in order again. Naomi is no Serena but her tennis is very entertaining. God Bless

I wonder if Kathy Rinaldi had a say in selecting this team. She has always been "spot on" in her selections, but I wonder if her hands were tied when it came to availability. What surprises me is that Caty McNally was not named to the team. She seems to be able to pair with almost anyone when it comes to doubles. I guess scheduling must be the culprit. I don't think the team named will have much of a chance.....

Wanted to see her name at the top of the rankings every week. She loved the spotlight and even did some acting on the side. Naomi is living off the celebrity, likes going to the parties and events that are given, but doesn't really want to go to press when she loses a match. So the only way to keep from going to press is to not play tourneys. Obviously she's not focused enough to win matches right now.

I think we have raised this issue just recently.Osaka needs to be reminded ASAP that without her previous standing in tennis,she would not be invited to these parties etc.Osaka may think doing the 'celebrity' rounds may take her mind off what is the underlying problem,depression/mental anxiety.Until Osaka seeks professional help for these issues,her tennis days to me are numbered.
