A major wrist surgery has prevented Laura Robson from playing competitively for most of 2014,nevertheless,Nike has decided to make the Brit a part of their team now that Li Na is gone.

This I don't get. It's not your relationship to understand, it's theirs. And to make the point of apprentice-tutor, that's a fan observation, but has nothing to do with them, in fairness. Two people, under 30, who work in the same complicated environment, might well find a lot in common, and the hormone thing goes without saying.

Peng,Hsieh to end partnership after WTA Championships.

The former No1 Doubles Team of Peng and Su-We Hseih will not play together next year,indicates Peng.
Peng is playing with Andrea Hlavackova this week while Hseih is at the Asian Games.
The Chinese-Taiwanese pair attracted attention for their success as well as for the political significance of their nationalities,an issue they both liked to avoid.

The reigning Roland Garos champions will play together again at the WTA Championships and then begin the search for new partners.

"But still we will play together in the doubles matches in Singapore because we made the promise that we will play out the matches of this year," Peng told a press conference."Next year she will find a new partner and I will also find a new one,but currently I am not sure who she will be."

This is exactly where it's harder for the women than the men, IMO. Plenty of women are willing to be the WAG of a tennis player, but men are not so willing to give up their identities to travel with a tennis player. Renfoo was unusual, in that he had his own flexible schedule. But the men are clearly not as pressured to choose between personal life and the peripatetic life of a tennis player.
