Isnt Kim a Chinese name too? Li can talk to the Belgian/Chinese girl about what to do in the next life.
Its a very tough sport. I saw once a small tournament live on the court and the girls were fighting for their lives on the court. Its not always easy out there mentally and physically.
Btw, most of them were very beautiful at the age of 15-18. ;) tennis gives you a great body at this age before you grow those huge thighs...

You do yourself no favors with the comments about how great they look as teenagers. Yuck. Remember, female body image is an issue, and big thighs make strong tennis players.

Just telling it (reality) as it is. Take it or leave it. I try to live in the real world.
I give real world priority over tennis world. Sorry about that.

Living in the "skinny girls sell tickets" is increasingly a world that many disagree with. Read this article from the NYTimes about runners as models for an athletic clothing line. Stay in the old world of creepy old men smoking cigars and insisting that the world be as they see it, if you like. We don't any of us have to "deal with it." The world moves on from types that have a fascination with the pre-pubescent girl body. If you want to hang on to that, well, good luck.

1) Thanks for the moderate and sensible reply without adding fuel to the fire. I mean it, I am not being cynical.

2) Who said skinny or pubescent girl body? You have just added that from your imagination.
For me the well proportioned does it, not "skinny or pubescent". I like the 90-60-90, and not the 60-40-60 :)
In the event I was watching on court, I saw many close to 90-60-90. They were just fit.

3) I dont smoke at all, so again, most of your theory is only in your imagination. I agree with most of your stuff above but for some reason you turned it against me. I suggest to check the content before judging by its box. Too many make that mistake.

^ It doesn't even seem weird to you that you know the measurements you think are appealing? They're athletes, not models. Their bodies are meant to do the jobs that they need them to, not appeal to you. If that takes bigger thighs or strong glutes, that shouldn't matter, if the body gets the job done.

PS: The cigar smoking was a metaphor.

She has not yet publicly said where she will play her next event.

Vaidisova lost her second match to Johanna Konta 6:1, 1:6, 4:6. She should play the ITF tourney in Las Vegas next week. She hasn't been on the ranking list yet so she has to wait for eventual WC to be able to play anywhere. That's why she can't say where she would play in advance.

This is a weird conversion. Did you thought I went to the players and measured them? :D
The 90-60-90 was a much stronger metaphor than your metaphor.
You really thought I am the smoking cigars fat type, while in reality I just went back from a 1.5 km swim in the pool unstopped freestyle. The Internet can be very misleading my friend.
Dont trust it for good or for bad. Most of our Internet visions are just illusions.

And... I was talking about my beauty taste. If you have another taste or you refuse to have any taste at all then thats your problem, not mine. I am allowed to tell what I see as nice, or are you forbidding me that?... this is weird.

Kim Clijsters is hovering outside the locker rooms its beyond ridiculous.A lot of players retired and we never hear of them commenting on results the way Clijsters does...its like she is itching to come back on tour and that 18th win by Serena really hit her hard..
go away Kimmy!

Moxie, don't bother. This person doesn't even understand the Madison Avenue metaphor you were making nor do they understand the complex issue surrounding the constant focus on how "pretty" female athletes are. I don't know that anyone called Pete Sampras unmarketable because he was balding. Double standard and lack of context.

Ok, thats really my last reply to you. I see that you are totally clueless.
Sampras was good looking and who cares? He may have been balding when he got old so what. Are you a female? Why mix a subject with other? I am talking about looks, you talk about tennis.
You got so desperate because you lost every argument with me. I am not bothering with you anymore. A waste of time and energy. bye

SK310 made really good points. Si Si is talking about looks, and pretending that the argument is not superficial, and detrimental to women athletes. See the bolded above: talking about looks over tennis is uninteresting and sexist.

I appreciate that Moxie. The issue here isn't a two sided debate of intelligent minds. The problem is one side is trying to make intelligent conversation and the other side is too fired up and emotional to have that conversation. They insist on attacking you personally and aggressively.

A little funny comment from Caroline in Tokyo:

Caroline Wozniacki ‏@CaroWozniacki 4 min.

Is it just me, or is it a little early for Halloween ??

Here are the current odds of different WTA players becoming Radek Stepanek's next girl friend
Lucie Safarova has the best odds of 5/2 and it is matched by Pliskova twins. On the other hand,
Maria or Serena has a longshot at 14. This is not a joke and you can bet your money and get
appropriate returns as determined by the odds if it happens.

If GameSetAndMath swore its not a joke then its not and Brits like to gamble on anything so I am sure such bet does/can exist somewhere inside a British gambling house :D

Update: Its a real bet, not just a joke. His link says there is such bet on "unibet" which is in Malta. Check his link :D
