One can't close his/her eyes against injustice it must be called out.
One must have the wisdom to tell the difference between injustice and perceived/imagined slights.
Center court is more balanced at the other slams. RG starts at 11am, so that allows them 2 WTA and 2 ATP matches on their main court before it gets dark. Ashe and Laver arenas operate at night as well as the day so you'll see more balanced scheduling there as well. But Wimby doesn't start Centre Court until 1pm. They really only schedule 3 matches a day on Centre and will move a match there if the 3 scheduled ones end early.Kirijax said:kskate2 said:Kirijax said:Thanks GSM. I wonder who decides who the "hot chicks" are? For the record, I consider Serena way "hotter" than Sharapova. We all have our preferences. So I guess the Wimbledon officials are going for the white male general preference of the skinny white blondes? How diverse and broadminded of them. But I still hold out hope that the Wimbledon officials in all their wisdom will choose tennis over looks.
You can keep hope alive my brother, but know this. They only have one WTA match on Centre Court during the early rounds and you'll see alot of natural and bottle blondes. Mark my words...
I've noticed that in the past and it, excuse my redneck French, sucks donkey balls. I wonder if the other Grand Slams have admitted to doing the same?

Acknowledged preference for blondes on center court is not (imagined) a perceived slight. Your comment invites pretense. (unwise)
Actually your blanket statement is a "yes, ...but" meme popularized generations ago. Who are you helping?Kirijax said:freedomsmom said:Kirijax said:One must have the wisdom to tell the difference between injustice and perceived/imagined slights.

Not pretending anything. It was a bit of a blanket statement concerning some repetitive posts. There are problems, but harping on them constantly until you can no longer separate the truth from the imagined never helps anyone. Your perceived comment wasn't too sharp either.

Has she ever been consistent? Her game is perfectly suited grass, and most importantly, she believes her game is perfectly suited for grass.

like a contender for me.
I would have to agree. When she is expected to win and dominate is usually when the forehand collapses and the booming serve come in with a whimper. Like Liscki, she needs to have a solid year on all surfaces not just grass.sk310 said:10sfan said:sk310 said:I think everyone is overestimating Petra's chances at Wimbledon. I think Petra does best when expectations are at zero. I don't expect her to contend at Wimbledon. Sure her game is suited for it and her greatest triumphs have been there. I just don't see her doing well as a defending champion.
