Is it selective memory on my part, or are Vika, Venus, Serena meeting early and often in draws? Vika needs ranking points badly, but her injuries are getting in the way.

Its super weird they keep getting stacked super close to each other. I know Vika is just now barely seeded but come on thats a really annoying coincidence.

Ok everyone, I know on paper it looks stacked on Serena's side, but Venus has a hard time making it that far in a slam, and Azarenka is iffy with how she will return from potential foot injury.

Ana Ivanovic has a "wonderful" draw. 3rd round against youngster Bencic, 4th round against rebounding Vika, QF against someone looking for #21, SF against Screampova and F against Kvitova.

To whom will she "choose" to lose when so many options are available?

My guess: To Bethanie Mattek Sands in Round 2. :laydownlaughing

Ana is unpredictable and can go out in the ist rd,Vika has not played for 2yrs at Wimbledon and that could be her Achilles heel..pova will try but just dont see her coming out of her qtr.Kvitova will be very nervous since she is the defending champion and might lose early.
my money is on Kerber coming out of that side...:popcorn

The Ladies Doubles Draw is out. The big surprise is that the Williams Sisters are in there seeded at #12.
I thought they will choose not to play, especially as Serena needs to focus on Serena Slam.

Sania and Martina are the top dogs. Vesnina and Makravoa are the bottom (#2) dogs.
RG winners BMS & Safarova are seeded #3. Up and coming Kristina is seeded #4 and is
playing with Hungarian T.Babos.

Laura Robson, Genie Bouchard and Simona Halep are all playing in doubles as they know that they will not last long in singles. Stosur and Hantuchova joined forces as well.

Ugh at this point I so wish Serena and Venus had chosen not to play doubles.

doubles at Wimbledon helps them .. its that break before 4th rd that saps them of energy and focus.I think they want to redeem themselves in doubles this year at Wimby.Serena and Venus look relaxed and have that look in their eyes that tells me they are ready for whatever...

Very surprised that only 3 out of the 10 picked Serena to win Wimbledon.

Can I request people delete my incorrect link to avoid further confusion? I can't find analyst picks for Wimbledon. However, my husband saw on TV that most are picking Petra to defend.

Belinda is really in form. She reached the finals in Netherlands and she won in Eastbourne.

The four grass title winners are Pliskova, Camilla, Kerber and Bencic.

Of these 4, Pliskova and Kerber have good draws that would enable them to reach at least a Qf.
However, the other two have tougher roads.

Bencic was already having a good year but I think seeing her countrywoman reach the semis at RG has really motivated her. It's like the Clijsters Henin factor each drove each other.

I just saw it on another board and they all picked Serena.
