In my opinion, Murray should be the favorite :)

Murray has been untested thus far. I'd like to see how he navigates through Anderson and Dimitrov before I'd say that.

Nehmeth, the only reason I picked Murray is the favorite is because he has won 16 straight matches at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

Also, he feels very comfortable playing at grass. Meanwhile, Nadal is still look shaky (at least in the first set) playing at grass.

I don't see Anderson being a significant problem, but Dimitrov could be if he's really on. It's certainly the QF I want to see from that section. Could you imagine Anderson/Mayer?

Don't forget how good a serve Nishikori has too when he's playing well.

Exactly. And better movement than Raonic.

That's why I am cautiously optimistic about Nadal going into the finals. Raonic and Nishikori could give Nadal some big trouble especially here at Wimbledon.

If I were to pick who I want Nadal to face at the quarters, I would rather have him face Nishikori. Yes, Nishikori has a better movement than Raonic; however, it would at least give Nadal some rhythm.

If Raonic have one of those serving days, then Nadal would have a hard time getting rhythm. Just look at the first two matches against Klizan and Rosol.

Either way, it will be a tough match up for Nadal.

Personally? I'd love to see an Anderson v. Mayer quarter. ;)

Excellent point. Nishikori would be better for getting a rhythm going.

Dimitrov could and probably should be a big problem for Murray. I'd take a wild guess and suggest this guy might be a future champion here. Sure, Murray will be a big favourite and it's probably too early for Grigor but I think he'll test him at the very least,

Nehmeth, have you heard anything new about Novak's shoulder? I read he had an ultrasound, and it looked OK, so that's good news.

By the way, Nadal needs to start quickly in his matches. This was his 7th slam match this year(4 straight match) in which he lost the first set. Luckily, he has won six of them and those six wins, he was able to finish in four sets.

If he wants to preserve some energy, he needs to start quickly and try to win the first set.

In contrast, Djokovic has won the first set in all of his 15 Grand Slam matches this year. Unfortunately for him, he has yet to win a slam this year.

Yeah, that's what I read, too. I bet it's sore today. It's the kind of injury which can feel worse the next day.

From the replay he fell on his elbow and first grasped his elbow. Kinda strange citing it shoulder related. Glad he's fine anyway.

You obviously missed the Madrid final. He was destroying Nadal till his hip got injured. Granted fitness is his main obstacle but the only overrating comes with his fitness and nothing more.

Can't leave Rafa alone can't you?

I will say it again, ZERO worries......Madrid is not Wimbledon. Didn't Ferrer took out Rafa in MC this year? How that worked out for at RG?

Keep grasping at straws

You keep insisting I can't leave him alone. You truly are a very sad individual and 100% biased. Watch the Madrid match is simply all I'm saying 'cos clearly yes, you do very much underestimate Nishikori. Nishikori has beaten Ferrer the last 2 times they played too. Do some research and stop with the stupid posts.

:puzzled Well, that's a pretty big part of tennis.

Nishi's has not been fully healthy for some time and is probably still carrying some niggling injury or another. I'd rather see the ugly Orc Raonic go through and face Ralf than a broken down little fella.

Huntingyou, in fairness, Nishikori has given Nadal all sorts of trouble this year. That includes the match in Australia this year.

There is a reason I am cautiously optimistic about Nadal because both Nishikori and Raonic can make Nadal very nervous.
