^ No faith in mighty Rosol? It is comical that the clown gave him problems once again.
Speaking of comedy, you've been providing your fair share.
Do tell...am I wrong?
About Nadal on grass? Uh, yeah.
He struggles in the first week where the grass doesn't play to his liking, and he can be upset. Of course, does anyone deny that?
Making it sound like it's an embarrassment he's had the success he's had on grass is quite silly though, especially off of arguments like him struggling with "grass court legend" Rosol today. Yeah, he dropped a set, he must be rubbish. I mean, he was taken to 5 sets by Isner at RG, and was a tiebreak away from being down two sets to love to Daniel Brands there as well, I guess he's rubbish on clay too.
Roger Federer struggling with "hard court legend" Igor Andreev at US Open 2008 must mean it's embarrassing he's had the success he did in New York, never mind his entire 2006 Australian Open run.
5 consecutive finals (well, he didn't playing in 2009, but you get the point) isn't a big enough proof of proficiency on the surface for you? I'm the first to say that losing to Steve Darcis is an embarrassment, but the problem is you seem to think it negates a whole career of achievements in the same tournament (you're sounding awfully similar to our friend). Newsflash, it doesn't. $hit happens, and sometimes you lose.
Could it be that maybe, just maybe, Nadal's knee issues and wear and tear have made it a bit more difficult for him to get down low and bend on grass, especially in the first week when the bounce stays low? No? I mean his dreadful grass results in the past couple of years are just an indication that hey, he's been awful on the surface all along. Nothing else to it.
