Cheers nehmeth. Garro also linked it earlier and believe it not I've been going through various posts there but I'm getting tired and bored. Some good reads along the way though all the same :)

Particularly good one from Kenshiro879 re Rosol's 2012 win. Nothing like having 20/20 vsion.

"He played like crap at Halle, and in the first 2 rounds of Wimbledon, case closed!

Rosol didn't have the match of his life.... Nadal simply played like a ball-boy because he wasn't physically 100%.

Now back to bashing, go on!"

ROFL! Sure, Rosol definitely didn't play the match of his life. Good one.

Kenishiro879 is not a member here. Let me know when you come up with one where a Nadal fan DID say that Rosol played the match of his life, because I'm sure someone (myself, for example,) did. I believe that, so I'm sure I said it. If you really must rake over old ground, I hope you'll be fair about it. And you should link to it, if you have an especial point to make.

Loads of Nadal fans praised his play that day.

Here's a post from someone called Moxie629

1972murat - 6/28/2012 7:58 PM

One day I miss tennis, and this is what happens. I will take everyone's word for it and believe Rosol played amazing and Rafa could not deal with him, but I am still stunned. Rafa always found a way. What happened today?

Rosol was amazing. He was serving like he'd invented serving. And hitting winners all over the place. They guy played out of his mind. And didn't get rattled when he'd lost the first set, which he should have won. He kept his composure at every juncture. Rafa dominated the 4th, and did have all the momentum. At that moment, fearing that they might lose light, the decision was made to close the roof, causing a 30 min. delay. (This is NOT an excuse!) Rosol didn't get tight. He broke in the first game, and served lights-out the rest of the set. You can't really even say that Rafa was too passive in the 5th...he didn't really have any chance to get back in, once he was broken. It was a stunning performance from Rosol.

OK, how about this post that you maybe didn't see from Kieran. It's impossible to copy, but I will bother to transcribe quotes:

http://legacy.tennis.com/messageboards/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=20850&posts=24&start=1

He started a thread, "Something Old, Something New," and said this: "plainly, the calmer man won," and "Good for Rosil and good for tennis, too. Tennis needs competition, new faces, uncertainty." And so, if you must drag the kitty litter of old forums, please do note that some Nadal fans have been fair and sanguine, even generous, about his big losses.

Yeah read that.

But you didn't cite it. Selective memory? Look, I'm not interested in dredging up the past. You started it. I'm just asking you not to paint all of us Nadal fans as "sore losers," and people incapable of giving credit where credit is due, OK? I'd like to call a truce on this and move on.

When did I call all Nadal fans sore losers? The answer: never. Merely those who called Rosol and Soderling clowns I was referring to. Naturally there are many elsewhere though, eg. tennis.com.

How's this for cheering up the mood. Not tennis related at all but utterly gross haha.

This is some way to stay on topic! I came back for this? Ssshhheessshhh!

I wasn't expecting the bucket of $h1t that followed from one true comment that Nadal fans in full blown sore loser mode called two guys playing the best matches of their lives clowns.

This is where you called Nadal fans "sore losers." And I believe we have proven that the majority of Nadal fans never treated those giant killers as "clowns."

I was only 50% wrong about you. You admitted you called Soderling a clown so....

50% wrong? :laydownlaughing:laydownlaughing:laydownlaughing:laydownlaughing

you either score or you don't

Robin was a clown and dislike by all Nadal fans after 2007. That's not a discovery nor has anything to do with your position that tented correctly pointed out to you that it was wrong.

tented didn't correctly point out anything wrong. It's the polar opposite actually. Seems being a Nadal fan means backing up people even if they're wrong too. Darth hit the nail on the head saying Nadal fans always feel like the victim.

Oh. My. God.

I will never open this thread again.
