Rafa's next real test is probably in the quarter finals against Raonic or Nishikori. Both guys came close to beating him earlier this year on surfaces where he is much more comfortable. Then again, with Rafa even a guy like Kukushkin can still be considered a threat if it's on grass. Only time will tell.

Ssssh, you can't talk like that about Rafa around here or you'll be labelled a Rafa hatin' troll

Nope, the above assessment is fair.

I think people throw the "hater" notion when guys go literally pages and pages freaking out over stuff that happened over 4 years ago (and hasn't happened since) all the while spreading false information. Not to mention that one time Nadal was called a thug by a certain someone due to the extremely violent bump he gave Rosol two years ago.

It's good that you make no bones about hating him. I actually admire you and Darth for being so forthcoming about that. Others could take notes. But sometimes, the hatred leads to ridiculous posts/arguments/statements

No, simply answering the question above but again your comprehension skills are sadly lacking.
comprehension, really Front, you are back being bitter Betty

I'm not AP. I like to be civil where possible with everyone but it was clear I was just answering a direct question in the post above and citing who imo would be likely to pose a threat.

Either be civil or you will be treated as just another dumb ass Rafa hatin troll

This forum can't have enough Rafa hate my friend :clap You have to somehow balance out the blind love fest he receives on this board.

Wait, are you a Djokovic fan now? Because I thought the whole "this forum is a Fedal forum" is their shtick...

And speaking of Fedal, aren't you a Fed fan? There's plenty of you here... Though in fairness, you guys can never be accused of blind love towards Fed since all you do is thrash him nowadays. Good old mental midget Roger Federer who's underachieved by not winning 20+ slams.

Rosol let the slowness of Nadal's time between points and games get to him at 4-2 second set and we witnessed another gutless umpire today. Pascal Maria should've been umpiring there. Average 25 seconds between points and not even a warning all match. Shameful.

25 seconds is actually the limit. So Nadal wasn't averaging over it. That doesn't mean he never went over the limit, but on average, he stayed within (for once). I don't see the outrage.

And 25 seconds is not a hard limit, it's only after the players have been ordered to play by the umpire or the point has ended. So it's up to the umpire's discretion and significant leeway is given to them to decide when to enforce the rule and give a violation.

Besides even if after a long point, the delay is more by a few seconds, does it really matter? Doesn't the extra time benefit (or hurt) both players equally? If Nadal is one of the better conditioned players on the ATP, it stands to reason that an extra few seconds would benefit the other players more (to recover) than it does him.

I really don't understand all this uproar about Nadal taking a few seconds extra "sometimes" in a match. Does this really help him win a match or is it tantamount to cheating? Sounds absurd to me.

^ No faith in mighty Rosol? It is comical that the clown gave him problems once again.

Speaking of comedy, you've been providing your fair share.

Do tell...am I wrong?

This forum, and tennis.com has long been mostly a Rafa forum. Sure there are more Federer fans than Djokovic and Murray but a far cry from the Rafa love. Nothing wrong with it but you'll excuse those who don't love Rafa.

And how many non-Roger fans treat him the way multiple Roger fans treat Nadal?

Can Roger make it 4 aces in a row to close it out??? Nope, but wins the point anyways.

Not tested but solid win and a good serving day. And better than last year...

Agree on all points. I think he played very well today, especially the serve. 25 aces, I think? Maybe 26.

I don't see how he is being treated unfairly. Some people can't stand Mr. Topspin and voice it differently than the fans who can't stand Roger. Kieran for instance is a little more subtle. I don't do subtle on a consistent basis. Different strokes, different folks.

Good to hear, this is good practice if he does face a decent version of Jerzy in the 4th round. Who does Roger get next?

Thank you for proving my point.

If Federer were treated with the same level of distaste, disdain, insults, etc. that the Fed fans treat Rafa, there would be blood on the streets.
