You know, there are many beauties about being Irish, and living in Ireland, but don't trust us to be on time. I woke at 5.45 for a delivery of logs - the only time he could come, apparently - and waited outside shining a torch. 6.15 came and went so I sent a text, though nobody likes to be pushy. I walked up and down, clocking up steps, and at 6.45 was about to ring him when he texted a huge apology, saying he'd changed the time but that he forgot to tell me. He'd be here at ten. I growled a snorter of a text and went back to bed. I gobbled my porridge swiftly and at 10.30 he arrived, 30 minutes after he'd said he would.
He grovelled while he simultaneously reversed the van and toppled the wood onto the side of the house. We had a great chat after this, funny enough.
If you think about it rationally, there has to be some sort of reset - particularly with the global financial system. Let's not pretend the "old order" was particularly great for a lot of nations or people either.
So what? It was ever thus. There were two world wars in the last 106 years, an actually terrible global pandemic, a great depression, and now a more anaemic pandemic that's still hitting us hard in so many areas. So why should we change things now? A friend of mine who also spoke about the Great Reset has a similar view, though maybe not exactly the same as yours, that this is a global elite trying to adjust the inequalities and make a fairer, more equal society. I asked her what that means. She said that we would all have enough money to live off so that we could concentrate on being creative. I restrained a riotous giggle urge. I asked her if that didn't sound a bit commie, etc. She was upset with me, because I said her conspiracy was "impossible", because she couldn't answer my rote query: "what's in it for Boris?" She said he'd have no choice. I repeated, impossible. She hated that word.
Now, I know you haven't said the same, and so I'm not suggesting that you have, but you have to see that your version is just another punter in a queue. To look at things from the perspective of the old order not being great for everyone is a bad starting point. Sure, some countries thrive, and some countries struggle. The human being is a diverse creature. A German logger would have been outside my home at 5.45 and maybe even helped me stack the wood. Thankfully, we're not all alike. Also, the human spirit is a competitive one. Attempts to tamper with this and enforce some bogus form of global equality, or parity, would be unjust and should be of course resisted.
Again, I know you're not saying this, and if I'm misunderstanding the Great Reset, I'll be glad to be corrected. Reading the WEF website, I see a lot about "equity", "equality", "green" stuff, etc, but not quite the more explicitly lunatic elements of an AOC document, for instance. It's not a conspiracy, as I think you already said, because it's openly stated on their website, but I'm not convinced this would pass water if it come to it.
If you were totally dispassionate and looked at the Great Reset through the lens of a global elite applying ruthless logic, the solutions all makes perfect sense. However, we are not machines but mere human beings. (At least for now - look at some of the ideas for humans combining with AI and robotics).
Bill Gates / Microsoft has also patented monitoring human activity and linking it with Cryptocurrency.
Human body activity associated with a task provided to a user may be used in a mining process of a cryptocurrency system. A server may provide a task to a device of a user which is communicatively coupled to the server. A sensor communicatively coupled to or comprised in the device of the user...

Patent Number: WO/2020/060606 - might be time to re-read the Book of Revelation
The tech is already there and pretty amazing. Research Nano-chips. Miniscule dots to connect to the Internet of Things. You can track via GPS. The last piece of the comms jigsaw is 5G being rolled out.
I'm not convinced by the Bill Gates conspiracy stuff. I think the bloke has been a serious philanthropist. However, I'm not totally unconvinced either, because I've seen him trot out the clichés about overpopulation (which will peak in a few decades then decline), he's funded Planned Parenthood, which is a vicious misnomer, and we always have to be careful, but with regards to AI stuff, I agree, there's danger there. I think Elon Musk is looking into stuff like this too. We need always to be careful about this. Just because we can doesn't mean we should, as we know. We can progress too fast, and we don't need to be tampering with humanity in this way. Partly, it reminds me of our western denial about Covid, and death, etc. Billionaires have a history of seeking the elixir of youth, of believing that they're somehow above mere frail humanity and they have the cash to prove it. We've seen it in Greek myths, and we see it throughout history. A God complex. A megalomania. The Book of Revelations, indeed.
There are big changes on the horizon. Some good, some not so good (and different people will have their own priorities to measure those) and like all major revolutions, there will be winners/opportunities and losers.
Watch what the major players are doing and some of the moves being made. Trump merged the Fed Reserve with the US Treasury a few months ago and barely anything was mentioned. Berkshire Hathaway taking positions on gold and precious metals. China putting all their military on war preparedness. There are major events going on around the world right now and we're focused on mask wearing... (probably by design).
If this is to be a major revolution, it will be resisted, proving once again that not all revolutions succeed. One thing I'm curious about is why so few political commentators are picking up on this. I've yet to see the ones I regard highly even sniff at it. And even YouTubers, who compete with a tribalist fury, haven't been scanning this protect from the perspective of their respective tribes. Being so far under the political radar, it could be true, but it's too broad a narrative so far for me to get a sound opinion on it. It's not resonating with me enough right now, but I'm still not discounting it because, as we see, the world is a funny place...
