Has JW ever come back from two sets down in a slam, and won? Anybody know?

Sadly I'm all too aware. The deathless one handed the match to him at Wimbledon 2011.

That was the epitome of watching a train wreck in slow motion.

If I remember correctly, Roger lost serve at the start of the 3rd, 4th and 5th sets and Tsonga was serving out of his mind and Roger's ROS was atrocious and he hadn't a prayer of getting the break back in any of those last 3 sets. That said, it's very hard to break against guys with big serves on grass. Often on grass 1 break and the set is over. You get more chances to break back on other surfaces. Credit to Tsonga though. Beast like serving that day.

No, that was 2011, remember? I was hoping Wodger would knock Nole off in the semis, give Rafa another cheap slam... :popcorn

I can't say I wasn't relieved when it happened. The French was still very fresh in my mind.

Exactly. I think it was still fresh in Roger's mind too... :snicker

Yeah, and I'd actually say that, given the peculiarities in tennis scoring, and the way momentum shifts occur, he's actually as close to winning this match as Cilic is. Sounds weird, but the crux of the thing is coming up now: Cilic takes it in the fourth - or he's gone!

I kinda feel like, Novak has won his semifinal already - and he hasn't even played his QF yet!
