Show me where you read that California is fast-tracking citizenship. I'm telling you there is no such thing. Especially for people who just came across the border. People who come over on H1 visas, and the like, still take years to become citizens, if they ever do. I guarantee that you are making that up. Or better put, you read things that are untrue and simply believe them.

I've finally decided it's a losing battle to even fight these kind of folks! They make up $#!t as they go along, then repeat it over & over again! They begin to even believe it & are so self-assured & emphatic in their BS! Everyone knows Trump lied about everything including th implementation of Project 2025! The whole World will probably pay for the hubris in electing this monster! As a Senior, I won't have to deal w/ the consequences! It's been a trend of the last decade or so for the populous in different countries around the world to voluntarily allow miscrients to take over their gov'ts to shake them up! I thought Italy & England were insane enough, but we've done it twice! Well we got what we asked for! DJT won the popular vote, not just the Elec. Col.! So that means even the women who were given pleas to stop this from happening spit in our collective faces! They have no idea WTF they've just done! Repercussions will be felt for decades to come if we survive at all! I've stopped watching the news & will do my best to ignore anything political! Heaven knows what will happen! Good luck out there! We'll all need it! :astonished-face:
Every time I try to appreciate one of your best rants, you manage to ruin it. Once again, blaming women for Trump winning. What about the 55% of men, overall who voted for Trump? 60% of white men. Women may have underperformed for Harris, but let's lay the blame where it should be...dudes. Give me a miss with your constantly complaining about how women vote. Men have a stake in this race, too, and don't just keep giving them a pass. We can't do it by ourselves.

I'm not trying to be mean or judgemental, but are women responsible for anything w/ you? I hear the same refrain of a lack of representation by women, but w/ their numbers, female politicians are dropping by the wayside! Men are idiots and I have no excuse for the stupid pols they choose, but it's not the same! Our rights aren't being curtailed! Women have special medical needs, but men are making the decisions mainly b/c women are voting against the feminist agenda! I was all for it seeing the independence of my mom, but overall I've seen women who have more choices are terribly unhappy, on meds, or under a psychologist's care! The delusions are real it seems! They're looking for their happiness unable to get it from within! Am I lying or making this up? What's your take? If I'm a hater b/c I'm pointing a few things out, are women allowed to be criticized at all? What are the limits I'm not seeing? :astonished-face::angry-face::yawningface::fearful-face::face-vomiting:

while I do believe in the backlash theory, I find this a bit self serving. An answer after the fact if you will. But interesting none the less...

Okay, to play devil's advocate, do you think the "Shit" the Democrats supporters make up and enforce on societies is more, or less, dangerous than this? And do you fight any battles against it?

@Fiero425 - that's a serious question, by the way. The lies and misinformation from the left have been incredibly damaging and hurtful. Have to ever fought against them?

That is very interesting. I think the cultural revolution has failed, thankfully, and some form of proper diversity is occurring...

You disappoint me @Kieran! There is no equivalence btwn. Dems & Repuklicans! Dems are no saints, but they actually are trying to help society over destroying it! What have Dems ever made up that you consider BS? Who said Haitan illegals were eating cats & dogs in Ohio? Who are the people tearing down a booming stock market & low unemployment? Who has an enemies' list? Are Dems really changing the sex of children w/o permission of their parents? I could go on, but I'll wait for you to come up w/ anything as heinous as what these animals have to do & say to gain power! The only thing more disgusting is the acceptance by a large segment of our populous! :angry-face::astonished-face::fearful-face::anxious-face-with-sweat::face-with-symbols-on-mouth:

Who said men can become pregnant? Who said that men can chest feed? Who said it’s okay for men to sexually invade women’s private spaces? Who said it’s okay for men to replace women in women’s sports?

Who said it’s okay to physically attack - and cancel - feminists for defending women? Who said it’s okay for drag queens to sexualise little children? Who said it’s okay to chemically sterilise young boys without their parents knowing? Who said it’s okay to mutilate young girls without their parents knowing?

Who weaponised race and consistently lies about how much progress has been made there? Who continues to lie about and deny the history of slavery? Who weaponised language to demonise white people? Who supports the lie that white people have a permanent stain on their character that they must continually apologise for?

Who supports open borders and calls Americans racists if this causes them to be concerned for their jobs? Who calls American Nazis, deplorable garbage, misogynists, bigots, when they don’t vote the right way?

I could go on and on with this. Do you fight against that? Or are you okay with it?

Perfectly articulated. Bravo. This resonates particularly strongly with those who consider the next generation coming through. Aren't we supposed to leave this place in a better position than we found it?

The ridiculous leftist social policies clothed in fake virtue rather than rational common sense and duty of care has seen a massive decline in resilience, discipline and personal responsibility. On the flipside, a massive upswing in mental health issues, suicide, confusion, and breakdown of organic communities.

Touching on an old proverb, there is no interest in teaching a man to fish, rather making him reliant on a bloated state to throw him a few fishy crumbs, accompanied with a demand for gratitude and eternal servitude.

Exactly, they’re trying to normalise madness. They take things to extremes, with the only discernible goal being that they want to break them. And young people are growing up hearing their nonsense so often that they actually believe it’s normal. Therefore it isn’t a leap for them to think that anybody who contradicts this doctrine is a heretic, a Nazi, a hateful. Because it’s the “compassionate” who composed the doctrine.

And yet this new doctrine is barely out of its wrapper and nobody is allowed to question it, without risking credibility suicide. Career suicide. That’s become normalised too.

The left will need to reexamine things and set themselves a risky test: pretend for five minutes that all these ideas are wrong, and that the hated opponents might be correct, then try argue against your own ideas in good faith, in order to better understand the people you hate. I’m amazed at how many social media and mainstream media posts from the grieving left involved them still accusing everyone who disagreed with them of being Nazis, misogynists, bigots etc.

I mentioned Margaret Thatcher above for a reason. She should be the great feminist icon of the 20th century. She wasn't a feminist - but she did what feminists couldn’t do. She broke through as a woman, based on her fierce intellect, courage and integrity. She should be the shining light for women. Nobody gave this grocers daughter a DIE allotment just because she had tits. She handbagged her way to leadership of the Conservative Party in the UK in 1975. Prime Minister with a huge majority, in 1979. We were kids then! She won two more big majorities in the following elections.

It’s not misogyny to refuse to elect Kamala Harris. Or Hillary Clinton. The electorate vote selfishly for their own good. That’s why it’s their vote and nobody else is entitled to it.

Put forward candidates who care, who know what they’re doing. Focus on what people need. Calling yourself African-American when you’re not, but still putting on the blackface accent to fool the gullible worthies so you might get some votes, that’s not politics.

It’s lying…

You don't distinguish between culture wars issues, and the Democratic platform. Also, I think you misrepresent a lot of these issues. Or over-state how important they are in the general life that we live. In terms of the culture wars, I can't tell you that it's not a threat to your life and your relationship with your missus, if you feel that it is, but it seems a stretch. As to the above, what are you reading??!! What drag queens are sexualizing little children? Chemical castration of boys, and mutilating of young girls, (as you call it) in the US, and without their parents knowing, is a myth. I'm surprised if you're falling for some of this. And if you're not, I'm shocked that you would propagate it.

Who weaponised race and consistently lies about how much progress has been made there? Who continues to lie about and deny the history of slavery? Who weaponised language to demonise white people? I would say that it is the Republicans that have been trading on racism since Trump, for sure, but it started in the 60s. Discussing race is not to weaponize it. And tell me who is lying about and denying the history of slavery? That would be the Republicans who are trying to take certain things about it out of the history books and the teaching of it. No one is demonizing white people. That is a far-right notion. To talk about the history of slavery in this country is to face certain facts, that is all. It doesn't have to make white people bad. It's simply to look at history. I'm shocked you're buying that kool-aid.

No one supports "open borders."
Who calls American Nazis, deplorable garbage, misogynists, bigots, when they don’t vote the right way?

There are American Nazis. Do I even have to tell you this?

I know you were asking Fiero about this, and I waited for him to respond. He seemed OK with your points. I, however, am not.

You attribute a lot of what is "culture wars" to the Democrats. This is not really fair. It's not part of the party platform. There is a difference.

Your question to Fiero was how he can prefer the Democrats, which I think he spelled out fairly well. You laid out the things that you fear. I understand if those things make you fearful, but they are not all actually true. In fact, a lot of them aren't. And a lot of them don't have much to do with politics, but the culture wars. As I say, I'm not sure how what you fear even has to do with your own life. I will say, though, that I fear the illiberalism and anti-democratic thinking and behavior that is coming from Trump and the MAGA movement, and that DOES affect me. Trump has never conceded the 2020 election. He is a man who massages his grievances, over and over, and has threatened to go after those who have aggrieved him. He has said he'll be a dictator "for a day." He has professed his love for strongmen. He has distanced himself from the 2025 Transition Project, but no one really believes that. These are things that I fear, and they have direct bearing on my life.

I think you’re so far down the rabbit hole here that you’re projecting. So let’s ignore the stuff you’re projecting. You’re doing this to discredit me, so let’s ignore that too, and discuss things in good faith, and not angrily.

Yes there are people who believe in open borders. You’ve had a very interesting narrative there regarding the border with Mexico. Barack Obama was known as the Deporter in Chief, because he used to deport illegals in huge numbers. He saw there, at least, a problem and also a solution. And he dealt with it. Trump then recommended the wall. The democrats of course cried racist and got in and allowed record numbers of illegal aliens to cross the border.

The democrats now agree about the wall. Why? The reason is obvious.

But you will see people who will argue that borders are racism, that border cops are racist, and so on. I think it would be dishonest of anyone on the left - and especially the far left - to declare that “nobody wants open borders.”

As for drag queens and their shows in front of children, just Google “drag queens America children” and you’ll see a load of pages arguing back and forth. Some of these pages show examples for you to peruse, some of them say it’s harmless - and some of them are correct to say they’re sexualising kids.

The trans hoax seems to be dying out - but that’s a gift from your mob, and one you never criticised. Heaven forbid, you should ever find fault with the left, but I would think the protection of kids might have incited such a reaction. Activists who are masquerading as therapists - therapists who seem only to have one therapy. Chemical castration. Mutilation. Pushing kids into an identity crisis.

By the way, while we’re at it, I think you were to tell me what my “gender agenda” is? You made a little comment and forgot the footnotes.

As for racism, the Democrats are racist because they promote racial division. They promote DIE initiatives that negatively affect Asians. They patronise black people by telling them that “you ain’t black” if they want to exercise their agency and vote whatever the hell way they want to vote. The Democrats don’t own black people, anymore. They’re not still your slaves. They can vote based on their own self interest.

I agree with you on Trump and election denial, but that’s because I look at politics from a position of principles, and not as someone tethered to a sheaf of dodgy propositions, an ever-increasing pile of shifting realities, which you seem to be. Whatever the far left are selling, you’re buying. At least, I don’t remember you ever criticising them. The Democrats are into political fads, modish thinking, and the normalising of their excesses is having a catastrophic effect, not just in your country through bogus empty suit hustlers like Ibram X Kendi, BLM and Kamala Harris, but through the idiotic imitation of these posturing dimwits by smug pampered westerners everywhere.

These people are spreading a caricature of slavery which doesn’t hold Africans to account. They buy into the notion that old whitey did it all. They have inadequate Marxists binaries that cover everything, or so they think. Oppressor/oppressed, coloniser/, and so forth. It’s depressingly simplistic, misleading, dishonest and unhelpful.

But that’s the modern left. Stop blaming everyone else for that fact that your candidate was lousy. This kind of common thought is really revealing - I’m not blaming you necessarily here because I’m not paying too much attention to posts - but it's a common reaction to claim misogyny, racism and all the yawn list of blame, rather than honestly look in the mirror and say, WTF, I’m not going out dressed like that, people will laugh at me..

Climate Change? Nice deflection.

I've never denied climate change. This world works in cycles. Everything is a cycle within a cycle. It's why you have night and day, seasons of the year, ages, cataclysms, birth, maturity and renewal in an ongoing wider cycle. It's also why history rhymes...

Imagine 3 flies buzzing around in the day... one fly says to the other two - I need you to bring me a percentage of the fruits of your labour or the sky is going to darken and the end of the world is nigh.... for your behaviour is causing this. The two flies initially smile and roll their eyes.

As the day draws on the other two flies start panicking - it is indeed darkening. The other fly (now the Lord Fly) gives them more and more orders.... and they obey, and in turn, start keeping the other flies in line. All flies are now terrified. The sky is getting darker and darker.

Lord Fly pulls out charts showing showing the difference in light since 3pm to 6pm and how going along this trajectory is causing the end of the world. A few older flies point out over 3 days it's a cycle called night and day. Lord Fly calls these conspiracy flies - they have all their funding cut and are banished from the fly-science community. We now have a consensus proclaims the Lord of the Flies (also known as Beezlebub).

Lord Fly tells the the flies not to leave home for the flapping of their wings is directly responsible... and starts taxing them... and the rest is fly-history (until the morning).

As for man-made climate change - yes, it does exist, as does climate and weather engineering - but nothing you do as an individual has any bearing on it. You could fit the entire world's population in Texas and give each family an acre. If they were really worried about energy, why do all these inventors keep dying in mysterious circumstances?

I disagree with the narrative and the propaganda of a consensus. The statement that the "science is settled" is the most idiotic thing anyone remotely involved in science could ever say.

There is little doubt in my mind that free energy has been possible since, well nearly forever. It has nothing to do with a cleaner planet - the main funders of the current green policies and involved in the green technologies are the greatest polluters. It is about controlling and engineering the populace, not "saving the planet". The planet is more than capable of saving itself - it is a living organism.

Here is something for you to ponder - why aren't people being shown how to grow their own food? Why aren't lawns being turned into orchards? Wouldn't that be a simple start to something greater? Think of all the shipping transport pollution that would save to be begin with, and people eating organic food.

No, that would leave to an element of self-sufficiency... something the controllers don't want you to have at all.

However, we can agree on one thing - we want a clean sustainable planet. Which I believe is far more easily achievable than enslaving people and taxing them for using what should be resources held in the commons - water and energy.

I've been hardly able to read this stuff, much less react to it in a post! Even outsiders are amused by it all when heaven knows how they will be affected even though a continent or 2 away! I've already survived a couple :broken-heart: attacks & don't need to push myself even more going thru the recriminations of this disaster we call LIFE here in the States! The level of corruption that will be waged against the Constitution will be unprecedented due to the Supreme Court giving Trump carte blanche to act the fool w/ impunity! I'm trying not to go back to how I felt in 2016 almost putting me away! I wasn't eating, just sleeping, unable to watch the news! It was great for my diet at the time! It'll be easier on me this time as something must have happened underground making this acceptable! The popular vote won out over the Elec. Col.! There is no doubt where we stand! I said years ago, I found out my own college roommate & bestie was a Log Cabin Rep. during the "W" era! It distanced us a little, but when he went Trump, we were done! Almost 50 years of friendship down the drain b/c I find this so objectionable! So far it's been good totally ignoring the news so far! I hear he took this things easily; swiping up all the battleground states! The inevitable was made easy & early election nite! It makes me regret not moving abroad when I was younger, but this sort of cultural insanity is mushrooming all over the planet! I just never thought this possible! TWICE now here in the States! I need to stop being shocked by anything from here on out! End babbling rant!:exploding-head::astonished-face::fearful-face:

It’s only politics, brother. You’ll see them all off, and none of them are worth getting upset about. My old mother used to get very worked up about it all until she realised that getting worked up about it didn’t make things different. Whoever she voted for, it never made her life much different at the end of the day. They all said one thing then did another…

I couldn't agree with this more. It's funny, all through the final few months, I was vacillating between confidence and outright panic. I wouldn't have been able to elaborate on exactly why. I think this article, specifically the sentence below I highlight, encapsulates my, now justified, insecurity...

Democrats do not know how to talk to young men — and it cost them

The Harris campaign failed to engage with these voters as citizens with agency

The writer is an FT contributing editor, chief economist at American Compass and writes the Understanding America newsletter

Late in the US presidential election campaign, Democrats discovered a serious problem. Young men, minorities especially, had abandoned the party in droves. An American Compass poll, conducted with YouGov in early October, captured a snapshot: 20 per cent of young non-white men had not yet settled on either Donald Trump or Kamala Harris, and those who had decided were evenly split.

Harris did not know what to say to these defectors. Her coalition was built on an identity politics that presumed an alliance among younger and LGBTQ+ voters, women and people of colour, all sharing the same commitment to a progressive vision of social justice. Somewhat awkwardly, the actual agenda — fighting climate change and forgiving student debt, resisting any restrictions on immigration or abortion — aligned primarily with the interests and priorities of a white, female, college-educated elite. But anyone who looked like a coalition member was expected to vote accordingly.

Former president Barack Obama lectured young Black men for failing to offer Harris the enthusiasm to which she was entitled. “It makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president,” he said. “And now, you’re thinking about sitting out or supporting somebody who has a history of denigrating you, because you think that’s a sign of strength, because that’s what being a man is? Putting women down? That’s not acceptable.”

The real reason that young non-white men (YNMs) were moving to the right was that they did not see politics in these racial or gendered terms at all, expressing values and priorities that align much more closely with those of the white working class (WWCs). The American Compass survey found, for instance, that YNMs and WWCs agreed that US culture placed too much emphasis on diversity, while affluent liberal women (ALWs) wanted a dramatic shift towards it.

YNMs looked like WWCs in their concern that “government regulates too much”, while ALWs overwhelmingly worried that “big business is using its power to destroy competition, squeeze workers and dominate politics”. The former groups prioritised living in an America “that honours our values and traditions”, the latter on one that “cares for the least fortunate among us”. The former strongly supported accelerating the mining of natural resources and building of factories, the latter group strongly opposed them. The former groups wanted to eliminate federal student loans and put universities on the hook for financing, the latter group did not.

The inability to engage with these voters as citizens possessed of agency, rather than merely members of a category, was most apparent in the Harris campaign’s embarrassing attempt at a five-point “Opportunity Agenda for Black Men”. One point was “protect cryptocurrency investments so Black men who make them know their money is safe”, another read “legalise recreational marijuana”.

If drugs and crypto wouldn’t do the trick, maybe video games and porn would? Tim Walz logged on to Twitch to play Madden NFL 25 with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, though they abandoned the game at halftime with neither having scored a point. One well-funded Democratic Super Pac released an ad showing a Republican congressman taking a phone away from a young man watching porn.

In the final days before the election, the Harris campaign abandoned even the pretence of appealing to young men directly. Now these men simply had an obligation to vote on behalf of women. “We have every right to demand the men in our lives do better by us,” pleaded Michelle Obama. Walz tweeted: “I want to talk to all the guys for a second. Think about all the women in your life . . . This election is about their lives and protecting their freedoms.”

According to exit polls, Joe Biden won young men by double digits in 2020. In 2024, Donald Trump won them outright. Similar shifts among Latinos and in Democratic strongholds like New York City gave Trump the first popular-vote victory for a Republican in 20 years. New Jersey, Virginia and Minnesota moved into battleground territory. Illinois and New York ended up closer than Florida. The Obama “coalition of the ascendant” has shattered, and the identity politics that once held it together has proved incapable of reassembling it. Whatever comes next for Democrats will need to engage people as citizens, not categories. That will benefit not only the party, but also the politics and culture of the nation.

It’s only politics, brother. You’ll see them all off, and none of them are worth getting upset about. My old mother used to get very worked up about it all until she realised that getting worked up about it didn’t make things different. Whoever she voted for, it never made her life much different at the end of the day. They all said one thing then did another…
Indeed. Most of your reality is created by yourself - even if you get pulled into these dramas that are pumped out 24/7.

Old @Fiero425 here says he hates tyranny... yet cuts off people - long standing friends by all accounts who don't buy into his world view. Isn't that a mark of tyranny in itself?

Moxie wonders why white males don't vote democrat... yet spends her entire existence denigrating males and whites... a fine mixture of overt sexism and racism. Yet claims her path is the cure for both.... If you want a good observaton about the white so-called liberal then Malcolm X makes some valid points.

He was spot on. But remember, though we all hate tyranny, the tyranny of the left and their fatwas, excommunications, intolerance for anyone who doesn’t engage in their brand of groupthink, cancel culture and ostracism, job losses, violence - all weapons of the tolerant and the compassionate - this is why their loss was so complete. People are sick to death of it and want to be free of it…

Right now in Australia we have the "misinformation and disinformation" bill going through.... Government officials are exempt of course. It's happening in all Western nations. Government will be the single source of truth... An Orwellian society in the making. Everyone hooked up to the "Internet of Things" in due course on the SMART grid. Govern me harder baby.... all for the greater good by official accounts.

It’s bleak. We saw plenty of examples of the tyranny of left wing governments during Covid, with the vacuous boy prince of Canada freezing workers bank accounts. He’s another who’s gonna face his own personal apocalypse soon, I think…

God bless Malcolm X. Martin Luther King also said something similar in his letters from Birmingham. So fascinating that two men from such dissimilar perspectives both saw the problem so clearly
