In a conflict like this, we have to take sides first against the worst player - and in this case it’s Putin. The Russians living in Ukraine could always go home to Russia - but again, why would they do that? Give me a good reason.
Putin is a tyrant. He assassinates any opposition he faces in Russia, so you can barely believe him when he gives a lame excuse for trying to extend his countries borders. He’s threatened the Baltic states too. This is what tyrants do. They know his type well, in these countries. That’s why they joined NATO.
